We've all been caught in the tizzy that is Hollywood couples. The drama, the fights, the shade... at some point or another, we've been strangely entranced by it. But more than that, it's the beginning of those love stories that keep us going back to be wrapped in the romance of it all. And one of the more interesting things that have us hooked is the one where the actors take their on-screen romance off-screen.

It doesn't come as a big surprise that actors can get close while on the sets of a movie. But there are some for whom the spark is so strong, it can't be contained by the cameras. Here are 10 celebrity couples whose journey began on the sets of a movie but translated to real-life love:

1. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor


Possibly one of the most iconic love stories in Hollywood, the romance between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor was pure fireworks. The two met on the sets of Cleopatra with Taylor playing the Egyptian queen and Burton playing her on-screen love, Mark Antony. While the two went on to get married, they also got divorced and remarried other people. But so great was their love for each other that they got married twice. Though Burton may have died, Taylor's love for him did not. “Richard is the only one I truly loved and still care about. I shall miss him until the day I die,” she tragically shared.



2. Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward


Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward were in the 1958 film The Long, Hot Summer together where the former played Ben Quick, a man on the run hired by a wealthy plantation owner in a small town in Mississippi who fell for the plantation owner's daughter, Clara Varner played by the latter. Newman, who was married at the time, divorced his then-wife to marry Woodward and their marriage last 50 years until he died.



3. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn


The couple met on the sets of The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1966. However, they reconnected while shooting the 1984 film Swing Shift where Hawn played Kay Walsh, a woman who fell in love with another man, Mike 'Lucky' Lockhart, played by Russell, while her husband was stationed overseas. Together since 1983, the couple have never married but are still very much in love with each other.


4. Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly



This couple was first seen together in the 2001 film A Beautiful Mind. Connelly played the wife of schizophrenic mathematician John Nash, and Bettany played Charles, someone Nash believed to be his roommate. The two quickly fell in love and tied the knot in 2003. Still married, they have two children together.


5. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively


The two first met on the sets of the 2001 superhero movie Green Lantern and became the best of friends. Blake lent a supportive shoulder when Reynolds was going through a divorce. But it wasn't until late 2011 that they started dating before getting married in 2012. The couple is known for their constant support and teasing of each other online. However, the love in their eyes is clear. Together, they have two children and are expecting their third.




6. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie


One of the most high-profile couples, famously known as "Brangelina", first met while shooting the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. Sparks flew wild but at the time, Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston. After Brad and Jen finalized their divorce in 2005, Brad adopted Angelina's children. They married in 2014 but Angelina filed for divorce in 2016.

Jennifer may have been hurt by her divorce from Brad Pitt, but that didn't stop her from finding love. Theirs is a story that began from That 70's Show, when she was 14 and he, 19. Though the two were just friends at the time, it was in 2012 that Mila started feeling the real passion. When Ashton stood up in front of her at an awards show in the same year, she said, "two important thoughts registered [when he turned towards her] - The tall guy was her old pal Kutcher and for some reason, he was making her stomach flip," reported E!Online. They started dating, meaning to keep it strictly casual, but destiny had other plans for them.
