It’s an emotional morning as the family of 1-year-old Quinton Simon wait for an update. His grandma Billie Jo sent me this picture of the two of them. pic.twitter.com/e4OQaWCRFO

According to 11 Alive, a drone and K-9 search have been done to locate the baby according to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office. Several other law enforcement agencies are now involved and have been assisting in grid searches. The FBI is also assisting in the search. Currently, an Amber Alert has not been issued because there is no evidence that the child has been abducted. Authorities have not been able to find Quinton despite using a helicopter with heat-seeking technology "We know the disappearance of this child has hurt many hearts, and we know thousands of people are hoping and praying that he is found safe. We promise that we will update you as soon as we have any news," the sheriff's office said.
Chatham County Police Chief Hadley does not suspect foul play at this time but admitted "This is a fluid situation. All things are still possible. We don’t have one concrete theory…all things are possible." According to WJCL, he said search crews were out until 2 a.m. and returned at 8 a.m. "I hope he's still alive," Hadley said. "We don't have any information that he's not."
“We’re going to hold out hope that he’s still alive, and that we can find him and bring him home safe to his parents,” Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley told reporters today. “But, we’ll continue to look at all angles and exhaust all investigative avenues.” pic.twitter.com/9oVjBPwFjL

The babysitter of the 20-month-old said she was in shock and revealed that she was supposed to babysit him and his sibling the morning he disappeared. Diana McCarta told WSAV “I got a text this morning saying they would not be here, would not be babysitting them at 5:29 [a.m.] Which was kind of odd because I have them even when she doesn’t work." "And then I get a text at 9 a.m. saying have I seen Quinton,” McCarta continued. “I immediately go to their house. I try to help them look, they didn’t want that. So, I’ve been just waiting around like everyone else. My heart is broken. I’m not his mother. I’m not his family. But I love him very much And I just don’t know what could happen,” McCarta said. “The police did a really good job of looking and where does a 1-year-old go. They’ve covered a lot of ground.”
This is the sweet little boy who is missing. Quinton Simons is just 20-months-old. His grandparents tell me Quinton is smart, loves to play with electronics, loves to laugh, and lights up the room. They are hoping so hard that he comes home. The search is entering hour 26. @WSAV pic.twitter.com/lRxDBfWiAh
