6 Ways to Heal a Soul That Is Exhausted | Take a Deep Breath and Dive Within

There are days when you feel that you have given the people around you everything you have both physically and mentally. It feels like you need some time for yourself because your mind is clouded by thoughts just building up inside you because all you've been doing is thinking for everyone else but yourself.


You feel tired and drained. Everything you do feels worthless. That's a sign that your soul is exhausted and it's time for you give to yourself some recovery space. Here's how:

1. Take a deep breath

Sit down, take a breath. Inhale and let go of all the worries of the entire day or the past month, even years, as you let your breath out. It might not be possible for you to leave everything behind just to take a breath but it is necessary to pull yourself back from the black hole of tensions at the exact time you feel them. Inhale for 4 seconds and hold it for the same time, then exhale for 4 seconds. Repeat it until you feel in sync with your soul, according to One Fit Window.

2. Dive into yourself with meditation

Doesn't matter where you're seated, just imagine yourself sitting in the middle of the lush green grass, so fresh that you can smell them or imagine yourself sitting on the beach. You can smell fell the wind spray water on your face. While doing that, concentrate on the calmness that runs throughout your body. If meditating on your own is difficult, there are many apps that can guide you through the process. Give it a try.

3. Saying "no" once in a while

You need to understand that when you refuse someone a favor, you aren't selfish, you're just respecting your own wish. Keeping your wish above other's is not a bad thing so feel free and go with it once in a while. Constantly being there for others can be exhausting. So once in a while, choose yourself. Say no and walk away.


4. Accept yourself and be kind

Keeping the illusion of a perfect life is not important. Accepting your fears and the insecurities along with all that you feel is a sign that you're still human and the flaws that you make are human too. Also, don't forget to be kind to yourself when you feel that you did or said something wrong, because the sooner you accept the way you are, the more you fall in love with yourself.

5. Do things which lift you up and not pull you down

Try to avoid things which make you sad or worried at all times. If it's your family that makes you think too much, drive away to a beach or a park and spend a few minutes of silence. If it's work, then why not take a walk and have a hotdog? Just let out all the negative energy doing something that you really love.


6. Enjoy the moment, get comfortable and have a laugh

Drink a cup of tea, enjoy its sweetness infused with the herbal taste. Appreciate that you are sitting wherever you are, with the hot cup of tea or coffee, away from all kinds of worries, according to Your Life Zen. Get comfortable with your desires even if it's eating a tub of ice-cream or dancing while you cook.
