Trigger Warning: The following contains descriptions of gun violence, which may be distressing to some readers.
In the tragic mass shooting that took place in Allen, Texas, on May 6, a six-year-old boy lost his entire family and is the only one left alive. William Cho, 6, lost his mother Cindy Cho, father Kyu Cho, and his sibling, 3-year-old James Cho in the span of a day while they were all at the Allen Premium Outlets on Saturday where a shooter started firing, Insider reported.
William had celebrated his 6th birthday only four days before his family tragically got killed along with the other victims of the mass shooting. "An afternoon that should have been filled with light, love, and celebration, unfortunately, was cut short by another mass shooting massacre that left 8 victims dead," reads a GoFundMe set up to support the child's expenses.

In the Saturday mass shooting at the outlet mall, at least eight people were killed and seven others were injured by 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia. A police officer who was already at the mall for a different call shot and killed the gunman, per CNN. The victims ranged in age from 5 to 61 years old, according to a Dallas-area medical group, CNN reported.
"Cindy, Kyu, and three-year-old James were among those victims that tragically lost their lives and the family is in deep mourning. After being released from the ICU, their six-year-old son William is the only surviving member of this horrific event," the GoFundMe added. The fundraiser shared that its aim is to support the family following this horrible tragedy.
Six-year-old William Cho is in the ICU, suddenly an orphan after his parents and little brother were all slaughtered in a mass shooting. A man's wife is in critical condition while both of their daughters are now dead. This is America, land of domestic terror. https://t.co/wrp3qGoNkq

The campaigner requested people to contribute to the fundraiser and spread the word. Judy Kim, a contributor to the fundraiser, shared well wishes for the young boy, adding, "William, we hope that you will read through each of these messages pouring in from around the world and are encouraged. Know that you are not alone. Your parents loved you so very much, and there are so many people that love you, care about you, and pray for you. We are very sorry this happened to you. This should not have happened at all. We are all truly sorry. We pray that the peace of God will fill your heart and that the Holy Spirit will guide you every step of the way. Your parents are so proud of you. You are loved."
