It hasn't always been the easiest in a long-term relationship. There have been tons of fun moments and tons more angry moments. Sometimes you wonder if your partner truly loves you when he does certain things that hurt you or fights with you for small problems. It's made you sit down and reflect on whether this is how the future is going to be and if it's worth it.
While hope might seem to be fading, it shouldn't, if you see him doing these seven things. It is these behaviors of his that are telling you that he truly loves you and is ready to be by your side, in sickness and in health.
Whenever someone says anything against you, he's the first one to step up and be your champion. He won't hear a word that does anything to ruin your good name or reputation. More than that, whenever you embark on a new goal, he might not join you, but he will support you. He will do everything in his power to help you achieve your dreams.
That being said, he will also fight with you. Seems absurd at first but it's worth it. It's his way of showing he cares, especially when he only argues about matters that concern both of you. It shows that he's emotionally invested in the relationship and wouldn't have it any other way.
It is very hard to let someone see you with your guard down. Knowing that they have the power to hurt you can be terrifying. In the same way, the fact that he lets you see the vulnerable side of him, showing you that he loves and trusts you to keep his heart safe. In a way, he's also showing you that he's extremely comfortable with you.
Misunderstandings are a key reason many couples break up. But if your man not only listens to you but truly talks to you and lets you know what's on his mind, it shows that this relationship is important to him. He doesn't want lack of communication to break the bond you two share.
Both of you have needs that require fulfillment and since this relationship is about a healthy give-and-take, the fact that he's willing to step up to the plate shows that he cares. Like you, he knows that sometimes the needs of the partner might be greater and he's willing to fulfill it.
Physical appearance matters to you. After all, it forms a part of your identity. And he loves you no matter what you look like. Bed head, scrubbed face, belly rolls - none of it bother him. Because for him, it's you as a whole - your intelligence, your wit, your love, your confidence and so much more - that attracts him.
Supporting you is one thing but he's also extremely proud of everything you do to get to your goals. He's seen the hardwork and dedication you put into things, even if they're small ones and he's ecstatic for you. It's why he brags about you to his friends and family any chance he gets, because he knows your worth and isn't afraid for others to see it.
