8 Rules Jennifer Lopez Swears by to Look Incredible in Her 50s

The 52-year-old likes to mix up her workouts and lives by staying hydrated.

It's not easy to be dedicated to fitness, but Jennifer Lopez seems to be killing it!

Through the years, the stunning Latina has always looked like a million bucks and that's a credit to the amount of work she puts into making sure her fitness and health come first. The 52-year-old likes to mix up her workouts and lives by drinking water and staying hydrated. The Jenny From The Block singer also steers clear of alcohol and caffeine, and she's pretty disciplined when it comes to her diet. Here's a look at a list of what she follows to maintain her super-toned body.

1. No coffee

If the singer does drink coffee, it has to be decaf. “I haven’t had caffeine in years," she said according to Hollywood Life.

2. No alcohol

The teetotaler very rarely drinks alcohol because she doesn't like how it can damage her skin. "I think it ruins your skin," she said in an InStyle interview, according to Cosmopolitan. "Of course, during celebratory toasts, everybody's like, 'You can't toast with water!' So I'll toast with alcohol and just take a sip."

3. No Smoking

“I don’t drink or smoke or have caffeine,” the actress told Us Weekly, per Hollywood Life. “That really wrecks your skin as you get older."

4. No processed foods.

In general, she "stays away from processed foods and gets her nutrients from whole sources," one of Jennifer's trainers, Dodd Romero told Us Weekly.

5. Exercise three or four times a week

 "I am 100 percent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy," she told HELLO!. "Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that's so good for me is key to my happiness."

6. Get 8 hours of sleep

A good night's sleep is essential for your overall health, and JLo takes that very seriously. "I make it a priority to get eight hours' sleep a night," she revealed.

7. Skin Care

"I always, always wash my face after a workout. That helps keep my pores clean and my skin feeling healthy," she said, “then I'll usually put on moisturiser and sunscreen, with maybe a little make-up if I'm going out or moisturiser and eye cream if it's the evening." 



 

 

8. Stay Hydrated

According to Romero, the superstar chugs water throughout the entire day. “She drinks a minimum of seven glasses a day,” Romero shared.
