Trigger Warning: This story describes sexual assault that may be disturbing to readers.

A woman, who was nine months pregnant, went to get a prenatal massage in a spa in Lexington, Kentucky, but the masseur sexually assaulted her.

The masseur, Tyler Isaacs, 30, is from Berea, Kentucky. He was charged with first-degree rape for the alleged attack at Rest Assured Massage and Spa in Lexington, in the month of July, the Richmond Register said, citing an arrest warrant.

According to New York Post, the unidentified mother-to-be told the cops that no one else was at the spa apart from Isaacs, at the time of her appointment.

The massage started normally. But towards the end of the massage, Isaacs asked her to stand and place her stomach on the table so he could work on some areas of her back. The man then grabbed her hands from the table and held them behind her back while he allegedly raped her.

The attack only lasted minutes and when he was interrogated by the cops about the incident, he admitted to assaulting her. However, he also mentioned that he didn't know the woman before as it was the first time he's massaged her, and also added that this was the first time he had ever sexually assaulted anyone at work.

Further investigation revealed that there was another employee with a client while the attack took place, but they started before the victim entered the premises and left before her massage ended, which is why she felt like she and Isaacs were the only two people at the spa.

Finally, on October 12, 2021, the suspect was arrested and taken to the Madison County Detention Center. He was released the following day. Meanwhile, when New York Post tried getting in touch with the spa owner, she reacted angrily, yelling into the phone, “Who cares? He doesn’t work here no more.”

It seems like even pregnant women aren't safe anymore, how is it that one can confidently walk into a place and not be afraid when they don't see anyone around? The panic is real, and such incidents only make it absolutely worse. The woman who was the victim may never be able to get over this completely, either.
