This Pup's Eyes and Mouth Were Glued Shut Before She Was Abandoned | but She Fought Her Way to a 'Forever Home'

She had to endure such an act of cruelty. Thankfully, the world isn't all made up of cruel people; the puppy found caring and loving humans who are taking good care of her.

We hear tons of cases of animal cruelty but this might just be among the worst. It was early morning in Wichita, Kansas when a woman driving saw something that shocked her to her core. What she had seen was an abandoned puppy by the side of the road but that was not what surprised her.

At first, she thought the dog had been hit by a vehicle. Once she got closer to it though, pure horror engulfed her body. She found that someone had sealed the poor pup's eyes and mouth with superglue and she was fighting for her life, reported The Epoch Times.

Immdiately, the woman grabbed her and took her to the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita. But sadly, the superglue wasn't the only issue the Jack Russell terrier mix was facing. Doctors also found additional bruises on her abdomen, which were likely concurrent with physical abuse. The doctors worked hard to carefully remove the glue from her eyes and mouth completely. They did everything possible to fix the damage caused by her attacker.

Given her unfaltering spirit, she's now been named 'Glory'. It's well-deserving, given how the puppy survived, despite being able to eat, drink, or even see due to the superglue. According to reports by KWCH, she had lost her voice too. But thankfully, this was not the end of the road for her.

Wichita Animal Shelter organization Beauties and Beasts, Inc. took in Glory but the staff there were shocked at the puppy’s condition. They went on social media site, Facebook, to put up pictures of Glory while trying to also find the terrible person who perpetrated this horrendous act of cruelty. "She is recovering but needs your help to bring justice to catch her abuser", says the post.

The post also said, "This was an intentional act and someone who is capable of harming an innocent little dog is extremely dangerous, they will continue this pattern of abuse on helpless victims. She has no voice and cannot speak for herself. You are her only hope. See something, say something. Silence is deadly. We are looking to offer a reward (over $1,000 and counting) for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this disgraceful act of cruelty. Will you help?"

As of now, Glory is recovering well. “She’s got some skin to grow back and some regular healing as well. But she’s doing really well. She’s playful, and doing great,” Beauties and Beasts volunteer Kasey Breidenthal told 3KSN News. Glory is around 9-months-old and after weeks of treatment, she's showing signs of improvement. And lucky for her, she found herself safe and happy in a loving foster home.

“She is just a bundle of love and energy,” said Glory’s fosterer Mark Claeys said. “She wants to play with our dogs so bad, but she scares them; she’s so energetic!” Things got better for the puppy. Soon enough, Glory was adopted and found her forever home with the Waggy family four months after she was found abandoned on the road.
