"Not even death could stop my dad from loving my mom and showing her how much she meant to him."

When Alyssa Mendoza received an e-mail at 3:00 am from a known sender, she could hardly believe what she was seeing. The message was from her father, who had died 10 months ago, from chronic kidney disease. At first, she was so overcome by emotions, she couldn't get herself to open the message. “I received a scheduled email from my dad,” Alyssa shared on Facebook, in June 2020. “At first, I was scared to open it because, well who wouldn’t be scared to get and open an email from someone who passed away 10 months ago.”
Two days later, she finally mustered the courage to open it. Again, she was taken by surprise by the thought her father, Bing, had put into their lives, even after his death. From the mail, she concluded, "My dad’s love for my mom IS definitely immeasurable."
You see, Bing scheduled the mail to his daughter to make sure she surprises his wife, Joji, on what would have been their 25th wedding anniversary, had he been alive. "The e-mail contained instructions for me for their anniversary celebration this year." He had planned for just about anything before he died. "He even contacted and paid for a florist to deliver flowers to my mom for the coming years on every special occasion, my mom’s birthday (August 19,) Valentine’s Day, and their anniversary (June 10.)"
He probably knew his wife would have a hard time coping with the loss and wanted to make sure she knew he was always around, even though he couldn't be there physically, which is why the mail "contained a letter that he wrote for my mom which had all the words she needed to hear from him to be okay."
They were supposed to celebrate their 25th anniversary together, but life had other plans for them." But even if they’re not physically together, even though he’s no longer here, he was still able to surprise and make my mom happy. Not even death could stop my dad from loving my mom and showing her how much she meant to him."
Bing probably spent days planning the surprise event, and he even picked out each flower in his wife's bouquet. He'd picked out white flowers because they played a significant role in bringing them together. "White roses are special to my parents because when my dad was courting her, my mom had two suitors. She told herself that whoever gives her white roses was 'the one' and obviously it was my dad who gave her white roses. Pink roses because dada knows that mamu loves light pink roses."
The loving daughter followed her dad's instructions to the t and spent a whole night setting up the surprise for her mother. "Even though I lack sleep, the joy I saw in my mom's face made everything worth it. Of course, my mom cried because she misses the love of her life but I could see how happy everything made her because she knew that everything was planned by my dad."
Bing's love for Joji is one for the books. Even in death, he made sure his wife knows he will always love her.
