Grande walked down the aisle wearing a dress designed by Vera Wang and looked every bit the bride she deserved to be.
Ariana Grande recently tied the knot with luxury home realtor Dalton Gomez, 27, during an intimate ceremony. The world hardly knew anything about the secret ceremony until the 27-year-old pop star decided to share a few photos of her big day. Judging by the pictures, which were captioned "5.15.21," it was indeed a magical affair befitting of the thank u, next singer. She walked down the aisle wearing a dress designed by Vera Wang, who promised Grande that she would create a wedding day look for her when they met at the Met Gala a few years ago. And boy, did she deliver!
Grande's look captured the elegance of Audrey Hepburn as she exchanged vows with Gomez in her Montecito, California, home. She stunned the public with a custom lily-white, silk charmeuse gown, which had an empire-waist column, according to Vogue. The sculpted neckline added an effortless charm to the dress. The gown was completed with an exposed bra-strap closure along with a plunging back and a side slit. A classic shoulder-length bubble veil was chosen to tie the bridal look together. Keeping the pop star's signature style in mind, the look was accessorized with a sweet satin bow on the top. She wore a half-ponytail--a nod to her iconic high ponytail look--while the rest of her hair was in soft curls.
To match her engagement ring, pearl and diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz were selected and her look was completed with a pretty winged liner and sculpted brows. A few of the pictures uploaded by Grande showed her getting her bridal makeup done and some of them featured the newly married couple kissing beneath flowers suspended from the ceiling. It was an intimate affair, in which less than 20 close friends and family came together to witness the couple say "I do." Speaking about the wedding venue, a source said, "Both Ari and Dalton love Montecito. They spend a lot of time there. It seems only natural that they would get married at Ari's beautiful and historic house."
The 34+35 singer's representative confirmed the news earlier this month saying, "They got married. It was tiny and intimate...The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier." Grande and Gomez were first spotted together in February 2020, but they had been together longer before showing up publicly. The singer hasn't been very open about her current relationship fearing that it may end like her previous ones.
"They have been hanging out for a couple of months. Ariana doesn’t want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton," an insider had told PEOPLE at the time. Two months later, another source told Entertainment Tonight, "Ariana has had some hesitation being so public about her relationship with Dalton as she’s seen how that has worn on her past relationships. Dalton and Ariana are in Los Angeles together during quarantine, and it has been a great opportunity for them to spend quality time together." Right before Christmas last year, Grande shared a picture of her engagement ring and captioned it: Forever n then some. Gomez had presented her with a diamond and pearl ring for their engagement and both their family could not have been happier about their union.
