The couple started dating early in 2020 and got engaged later in the year.
Popstar Ariana Grande, 27, and luxury home realtor Dalton Gomez, 25, tied the knot over the May 15-16 weekend. The couple secretly got married after getting engaged late last year. They were first seen together in February 2020. However, they have been together long before showing up publicly.
"They got married," Grande's rep confirms to PEOPLE. "It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier." TMZ added that there was no ceremony but a casual exchange of vows. The couple has not posted about it on their social media channels so far.
The ceremony took place at the couple's home in Montecito, California. "Both Ari and Dalton love Montecito. They spend a lot of time there," a source tells PEOPLE. "It seems only natural that they would get married at Ari's beautiful and historic house."
In 2020, she had posted a photo of her ring right before the Christmas holidays. She captioned it, "Forever n then some." The couple spent the pandemic social distancing at her home in Los Angeles. "They couldn't be happier, they're just so excited. This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled," a source told PEOPLE at the time.
Everyone knows who Grande is but Gomez is an unknown name in the celebrity circles. That's because the southern Californian and has been working in the luxury real estate market for five years. He had given her a diamond and pearl ring for their engagement, which she announced in December 2020. It's not known if the wedding was planned or impulsive, writes TMZ. Grande's mother, Joan, gave her seal of approval to her daughter's fiance after the engagement. "I am so excited to welcome Dalton Gomez into our family! Ariana, I love you and Dalton so much!!!! Here’s to happily ever after! YAY! xoxoxo," said Joan.
In March 2020, PEOPLE had reported that Gomez was "one of the people she is with right now." A source told them, "They have been hanging out for a couple of months. Ariana doesn’t want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton."
Two months later, another source told Entertainment Tonight, "Ariana has had some hesitation being so public about her relationship with Dalton as she’s seen how that has worn on her past relationships [like with Pete Davidson and Mac Miller]. Dalton and Ariana are in Los Angeles together during quarantine, and it has been a great opportunity for them to spend quality time together."
Finally, the happy couple took the plunge and had a small wedding. So, congratulations are in order for the young couple.
