Arnold Schwarzenegger is opening up about what he thinks about death and the afterlife. In an in-depth conversation for Interview Magazine, Danny DeVito, 78, asked his former costar, "What's in the future for us" to which the 75-year-old actor replied, "It reminds me of Howard Stern's question to me. 'Tell me, governor, what happens to us when we die?' I said, 'Nothing. You're 6 feet under. Anyone that tells you something else is a f***ing liar,'" he said.

Schwarzenegger was candid about how he felt about what happens after death. "I said, 'We don't know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff that I'm not an expert in, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that,'" continued the Terminator star.

The conversations surrounding death make the former California governor uncomfortable but he is clear that at least in his mind heaven is a "fantasy." He added, "When people talk about, 'I will see them again in heaven,' it sounds so good, but the reality is that we won't see each other again after we're gone. That's the sad part. I know people feel comfortable with death, but I don't."

The Commando actor shared that he's lost "15 friends in the last 20 or so years" from within the bodybuilding industry. And these were people who helped him generously when he needed help the most. "I didn’t know anybody, but all of a sudden he created this family around me. There’s things like that which you can never pay back," Schwarzenegger said remembering one of his friends who he lost. He also said that every time he goes to give a speech at the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio which is a big sports and fitness festival he sees "all of the people who died sitting together in the front row." Schwarzenegger also added that he feels uncomfortable about death because he will "f***ing miss the shit out of everything"—simple things like to have fun, to go the gym, "to ride my bike on the beach, to travel around, to see interesting things all over the world."

According to PEOPLE, the actor admitted to then-wife Shriver and their kids that he had an affair with their housekeeper Mildred Baena and fathered a son, Joseph Baena, now 25, with her. Schwarzenegger said he feels "reluctant talking about it because every time I do it opens up the wounds again. I think that I have caused enough pain for my family because of my f*** up. Everyone had to suffer. Maria had to suffer. The kids had to suffer. Joseph. His mother. Everyone," he said. But he is "very happy" about how he and Shriver "were able to raise the kids really well" amid "this sad story."
