Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas are "very serious" about each other and she's also met his kids already.
Love is in the air for actor-director Ben Affleck. He has been seen out and about with girlfriend Ana de Armas, who he met on the set of Deep Water. Their relationship has progressed rapidly and it seems that they are also ready to shack up together.
Affleck, 48, and Armas, 32, may have a 16-year age difference but they are in love. The James Bond actress has reportedly won over the Batman star's protective mom Christine and best pal Matt Damon, according to The Sun. A source told the tabloid that Affleck and the Knives Out actress are ready to take the next big step in their relationship. Harper's Bazaar reported that the actress was seen moving her things into Affleck's almost $20 million home in Pacific Palisades.
"She had a huge grin and seemed very excited about living with Affleck," a source tells PEOPLE. "Ben and Ana really care for each other and they have a good thing going. She's aware that his family comes first. And appreciates that. They work very hard at that balance," a friend of the couple tells PEOPLE. The couple has been spotted together on their daily walks around his neighborhood.
"They are very happy together," an insider previously said. Another source said that they are "very serious." "He wants the kids to spend time with her so they can get to know her," the insider said. He was previously married to actress Jennifer Garner and they share three children.
Armas has been spending time with his kids, daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, as well as 8-year-old son Samuel, to bond with them. The couple has been linked together since early March 2020, when they were seen in Cuba together. Since then, Armas has met his kids multiple times as well as his mother. The group vacationed together in Georgia in June.
"Ana seems to love being around his kids. Everyone has been getting along great. Ana is making an effort to get to know his kids," a source said at the time.
She confirmed their relationship by sharing a photo on Instagram on her 32nd birthday. Meanwhile, Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner has not made any comments on his new relationship. However, she has always been supportive of him even when he was struggling with his sobriety.
Affleck has battled alcoholism, infidelity rumors, and a very public break from sobriety. Garner's and his divorce was finalized in 2018 but they remain close. His new "dad pad" which has a lot of space for his kids to play around is only a mile away from his old marital home in Brentwood.
“This house has become Ben’s sanctuary, and it’s been the ideal place for him to make a totally fresh start. The kids spend a ton of time there and Ben has decked it out to incorporate his clean lifestyle plus offer them features to make it lots of fun when they come over," an insider told The Sun.
The house is equipped with an activity playhouse, a trampoline in the garden, a sizeable outdoor pool with a built-in slide, a pro ping-pong table, an open-air kitchen, and a barbecue area to entertain guests. It also has a gym and the Argo star and Armas enjoy working out together. The actor is also a sports enthusiast and has a telescope on his roof that might be used for watching golfers playing next-door at the Riviera Country Club.
The Gone Girl actor seems to be in a happy place with his new lady love and family getting along. "There’s a lot of talk that Ben and Ana will make things official soon, and that this will serve as their main LA home. They spend a ton of time here at the moment, although Ana has still kept her place in Venice Beach. But they’re head over heels in love and in this for the long term, so their mutual friends are convinced it’s just a matter of time before they’re engaged," an insider told The Sun.
Meanwhile, it was reported in August 2020 that Garner and her boyfriend John Miller have broken up after two years of dating. Her first priority remains her children, a source had told E! News. "That will never change and that's really what her life is about. She's busy with work and kids. There's not a lot of time for an intense serious relationship," the source said.
