According to People, an insider stated, "This is not a casual relationship. They are taking it seriously and want it to be long-lasting." 51-year-old Lopez was spotted with Affleck in late April 2021, after she broke up with her ex-fiance Alex Rodriguez. Affleck, on the other hand, called it quits with his girlfriend, Ana de Armas in January 2021.

Lopez and Affleck were first seen outside Lopez's LA home. Later, the couple took a trip to Montana and was seen driving together on May 8, 2021.

Days later, they were seen again in Los Angeles. Their body language hinted that the couple was back together. "They were holding hands, hugging, kissing. They weren't trying to hide the fact that they were together. They are very much into each other and being together," said a source to People.

Speaking of their time together at Lopez's go-to gym in Miami, an insider stated, "Truthfully, they are really nice people. No one stands around the gym saying, 'Don't approach them.' No one bothers them; everyone is respectful. Everyone loves her. All the women are checking her out and her routine because she looks so amazing and is so strong."

With the re-ignition of their relationship, fans are excited to see if the couple can make it through this time, unlike their first union. Meanwhile, an insider corroborated that the couple was very determined to make it work this time.

"They don't want to hide anymore. They are both excited about their relationship. They want to make sure they do everything they can to make this work," said the source. They continued, "Jennifer is incredibly happy. She feels like she can just be herself around Ben."

The couple split in January 2004 after getting engaged in 2002. Though they shared a beautiful romance, the bad press and the pressure that followed averted their romance from blossoming into marriage.

Despite their parting, over the years, Lopez and Affleck have spoken highly of each other. They also managed to maintain their friendship.

Lopez even admitted that she thought her relationship with Affleck had the potential for a happy ending. "I think different time different thing, who knows what could've happened, but there was a genuine love there," said the singer to People at the time.

Affleck too has reflected on his past relationship with Lopez during interviews. He believed that the media was unkind to her at the time they were dating. "People were so f—— mean about her — sexist, racist. Ugly, vicious s--- was written about her in ways that if you wrote it now you would literally be fired for saying those things you said," he said, according to People.
