Jennifer Lopez previously admitted she wanted to make the day extra special for her new husband, Ben Affleck.
It's a romcom... a Christmas fairytale come to life! Videos of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck and their star-studded party are making the rounds on the Internet. The newlyweds were seen kissing after performing a duet to John Legend’s tune “By Christmas Eve.” “Go slow,” the 50-year-old actor insisted to a vocal coach and pianist Stevie Mackey as he grabbed the microphone and began singing. The 53-year-old actor JLo watched adoringly before joining him.
“I'm gonna walk, if I have to run / I'll stand on the highway and stop someone / I'll cross the deserts and oceans, a river that's frozen / I'll follow the stars just to find where you are / You can count on me,” the song’s lyrics read. “Make a wish, close your eyes, and believe / I'll be home, home, home, home, home by Christmas Eve.” At one point JLo could be heard saying, “That’s my baby singing a Christmas song,” as she hugged him. The guest list at the party included big names like Kim Kardashian, Eric André, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Vanessa Hudgens, and Jane Fonda according to ET. Many people who attended shared a ton of photos and videos of the event which included a festive light display, a pizza station as well a hot chocolate station, and a gingerbread house.
This is going to be the couples' first married Christmas and the holiday is JLo's favorite time of the year so she wanted to make it extra special for her husband. The two were reportedly having a blast getting ready for the festive season. A source told ET, "Jen's favorite holiday is Christmas, so she always goes all out, but this is a really exciting time for them as a couple since it's their first Christmas as husband and wife. Ben and Jen picked out and decorated a huge tree with the help of their children. Their home feels festive and looks gorgeous with decorations and everything lit up."
This year the singer planned on making the day extra special and hoped to create their own new traditions as a blended family. "They are planning to spend the holidays together with the kids and Jen's family," the source continued. "Jen, her mom, and her sister are all amazing cooks, so they're looking forward to being with each other and eating amazing food." Speaking of Christmas presents, Lopez has apparently "picked out some things for Ben and wants to spoil him." "Ben is planning on giving Jen a couple of things that are special and sentimental that have taken him a long time to find," the source revealed. "He is also planning on giving her beautiful jewelry and a couple of big things that are surprises."
