"Thank you for instilling a love for all species, courage to follow my heart and determination to make a difference in the world," she wrote.
Bindi Irwin is remembering her father on what would have been his 61st birthday. The wildlife conservationist took to Instagram to celebrate her father's memories, as per Good Morning America. Reminiscing the famed Crocodile Hunter, she wrote, "Happy Birthday, Dad, Thank you for instilling a love for all species, courage to follow my heart and determination to make a difference in the world for wildlife and wild places."
She also wrote, "Your legacy lives on and the world is forever changed because of your dedication to conservation. Mum, Robert, and I love and miss you so much," she added, referencing her younger brother Robert Irwin. Alongside the caption, she also posted a throwback picture of herself and her father, holding a little reptile.
Her brother, Robert also remembered their father on his special day with a post on Instagram. "Happy birthday, Dad, ❤️," he captioned the picture of Steve holding him as a newborn while Bindi looks at them. Robert also shared a picture of himself as a toddler who looks at the camera while his father holds him and gives the thumbs up, on his Instagram story.

Steve Irwin was a zookeeper and conservationist whose claim to fame came through his wildlife documentary TV series The Crocodile Hunter. He would have been 61 this week. He died in September 2006 from an injury caused by a stingray.
The Australia Zoo's official Instagram account got in on remembering Steve as well, writing, "Happy birthday to the original Wildlife Warrior🐊 Countless wildlife, wild places, and people thank you for your message of love🤎."
Since his death, his wife Terri Irwin, and their children Bindi Irwin and Robert Irwin have continued his legacy.
As per ET, in December, Bindi wished Robert on his birthday by sharing how much he reminds her of their late father. "Happy Birthday to the taller Irwin sibling and greatest brother in the world," Bindi wrote with a photo of her and Robert on Instagram. "You light up our lives with your hilarious sense of humor and kind heart."
Bindi continued in the caption, "I see so much of Dad in everything you do and I know he would be beyond proud of you," she wrote. "We all are. Thank you for being such a good uncle to Grace and a fantastic brother to me and Chandler. We love you and can’t wait to celebrate today!"
Bindi is now mother to 2-year-old Grace and she has shared how much her daughter loves her "Grandpa Crocodile."
Last August, Bindi shared a video of Grace recognizing her grandfather in a picture posted in the zoo on Instagram. "Do you see him? Is he over here?" Bindi asked Grace in the sweet clip posted in August. Grace replied by running up to a poster featuring her late grandpa, which is hung in a construction zone at Australia Zoo.
"Grandpa Crocodile," Bindi exclaimed as her daughter pointed to the picture. When Grace goes to another poster of Steve, Bindi praised, "Good girl," before asking her daughter to wave to the photo. Grace followed what her mom said and, in turn, Bindi gushed, "I love you, sweetheart. Grandpa Crocodile loves you too."
