It's Kelly Rizzo's first Christmas without her beloved husband. Bob Saget, comedian, and actor, was found dead at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando on Jan. 9 at age 65. The Full House star's death came as a shock to many and it was discovered that Saget had died from head trauma, according to PEOPLE. He is survived by his wife, Rizzo, and his three daughters—Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29—whom he shared with ex-wife Sherri Kramer. Saget's widow shared a poignant message after reflecting on the first time the two shared the holiday together in the same city in 2021.

According to HuffPost, Rizzo who married the late comedian in 2018 remembered their Christmas together in Chicago in 2021, just weeks before Saget's death in January. At the time they also spent the holiday with their stepdaughter Lara, her then 2-year-old niece Alex and her then 2-week-old niece Brooklyn. In a heartfelt message she shared on Instagram, she reminded others to "cherish every single moment." She further added, "I certainly didn’t think that our first Christmas together (in the same city) last year would be our last." She continued, "I’m so glad we had that special time together."

It was the first time Saget was spending time with Rizzo's family. Rizzo confessed that her niece Alex still remembers her "Uncle Bob" and talks about him every single day. "He certainly left a lasting impression that I’m so grateful for. But Bob did that with everyone he met," she shared.

Reflecting on the holiday season she reminded everyone that it is a "time for hope, love, and togetherness. I pray that if you’re missing a loved one this holiday season, that you’re blessed with many deep and loving memories and gratitude that will help carry you through. As I’ve said before, I’m just so grateful that I got to have that incredible man in my life and that I got to be in his for 6 years. There’s no greater Christmas present than that." She then wished everyone and said that she "cannot thank you all enough for almost a full year of all the love and support and kindness from everyone. It means more than you know. I can only hope to show you how thankful I am and give it back a bit over time."

Saget's close friend and Full House costar John Stamos responded to the post saying, "He told me time and time again how much he loved your family and was so looking forward to spending that Christmas. Love you."
