Kelly Rizzo, Bob Saget's widow, is reflecting on her relationship with the late comedian. On May 17, the Full House actor would have been 67. Rizzo sent a touching message on Instagram to honor his birthday, calling it a "privilege" to have had six years with him until his death on January 9, 2022. The carousel of images shows Saget relaxing and enjoying a cigar both with Rizzo and by himself. According to TODAY, in her open letter, Rizzo, who wed Saget in 2018, said she still finds solace in that, he “used every minute on this planet to enjoy life to the fullest and make the world a better place.”

In the heart-touching Instagram post, Rizzo began by saying, “Happy birthday. This truly never gets less weird or surreal. But the gratitude grows every single day. I’ll never stop feeling like the luckiest person on Earth to have had the privilege of spending 6 years with this amazing man, life is short and we never know how long we are going to be here.” Adding about Bob the celebrity, she shared that she would “do as he would do…tell all the people you love that you love them, preferably in a very long & verbose voice text dictated by Siri.”

She continued that she would celebrate her husband by “having a very-cold, extra dry dirty martini with blue-cheese olives (IYKYK).” Missing all the lovely time spent with her loving soulmate she wished that he must be in peace and having fun. “And I hope he’s celebrating up there with a massive cigar (his favorite thing), a martini, and a few dozen oysters while sitting on a beach. He would love that. Thank you all for still loving Bob so much,” she concluded.

Rizzo's post received responses from a large number of Saget's close pals, including Fuller House actor Scott Weinger, who used three red heart emojis. Additionally, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, the wife of John Stamos, Joel McHale, and Katie Couric left heartfelt remarks. Netizens and fans were too moved by the post as they all missed the charm and wits of the American stand-up comedian. Several other celebrities also paid tribute to the anchor and actor. Musician John Mayer commented on the post, “I love you!!!! You’re such a brilliant steward of his heart and soul.” He also took to his social media account of Instagram to post a throwback picture with Saget, while paying homage to him and his work.

“I guess what I’m saying is… thank God for our ability to remember those who have left us. It’s one of the rare divine traits of being human; we can reflect and revisit and keep the flame of someone’s impact on our lives burning bright. Thank God we don’t ever have to let go. Thank God for our memories. Happy Birthday Bob, I love you,” Mayer wrote along with a black and white picture posted by him.
