A mother's love is irreplaceable. Nothing can match the kind of sacrifices a mother makes for her children, which is why it becomes extremely hard for a person to experience life's big moments without their mom. When it comes to weddings, having their mother by their side is a source of strength for many brides.

But not everyone can be lucky. One woman who was recently getting married paid a special tribute to her mother even though her mother was not beside her in flesh and blood during her special moment.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, a woman, dressed in a traditional Pakistani outfit—a red Lehenga adorned with heavy jewelry—walks down the aisle holding her dad's hand. In her other hand, she clutches a picture of her mom, smiling. The bride tried her best to hold back her tears, and her dad was emotional, too.

Then, per The Indian Express, the unnamed woman finally makes it to the stage, and her husband-to-be consoles her. Touched by the lovely gesture to her mother who is surely smiling at her from heaven, friends and family can be seen wiping away tears that are free-falling down their cheeks.

The video was shared on Instagram, with the caption: “Dedicated to all the daughters who have lost their mother."

In no time the comment section was filled with emotional messages from people who resonated with the bride. One person said, "Ths is too emotional ..may Allah bless our parents." Another wrote, "Had us all in tears my beautiful." A third user commented, "So heart touching." Yet another added, "Tears in her eyes but she still pretends like she is happy."

While this certainly is heart-wrenchingly beautiful, this is not the first time people have gotten emotional at a wedding. “Everyone’s seen a bride come down the aisle,” bestselling author Jeffrey Zaslow told Everyday Health, talking about what he witnessed during a wedding. “But what I wanted to write about is not just the romance of the bride and groom, but the romance between the parents and the bride… and even the community and the bride. I saw it as a pretty wide expression of love between a lot of people.”

It's hard to get through with life without your parents. Distance does creep in when we grow older, but moments like these make us wonder why we never replied to that message from our parents or called them back when we promised we would. If it's not too late, give them a call, or go visit them, the holiday season is right around the corner. Make memories while you can, so that you have something to cherish when they're gone.
