Britney Spears surprised fans by sharing a heartfelt tribute to her boys Jayden James, 16, and Sean Preston, 17, whom she hasn’t seen in recent months. According to Billboard, the singer wrote in separate posts for each son, “To both of my boys … I love you … I would die for you !!! God speed my precious hearts !!! I would give anything just to touch your face !!! I send my love … Mamasita.” The Baby One More Time singer's Instagram has since seemed to have been deactivated.

The family's complicated relationship has been in the news recently ever since one of Spears's sons with ex, Kevin Federline who have largely been silent confessed that they wanted to fix their relationship with their mother during an ITV News interview in September. "When she gets better I really want to see her again," Jayden had said.

The younger of the two sons also discussed their famous mother's use of social media, suggesting that it can be seen as a play for attention. “Social media helps her… So if that's what she wants to do, that's what she wants to do. I'm not going to hate her for that,” he said. “At the same time, she should come to the realization of whatever it is that stops her loving her family." In the interview, Jayden also revealed that he feels safe living in his father's home along with his older brother 16-year-old Preston.

The Hold Me Closer singer responded several times on the platform seeming hurt by the interview. “It deeply saddens me to know his outcry of saying I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother,” she wrote, according to BuzzFeed News. “If you could pause for a second, remember where you came from !!! I hope you can look in the mirror and remember ... You are my child and always will be !!!!”

She also said, "Jayden, as you undermine my behavior just like my whole family always has with, ‘I hope she gets better, I will pray for her,’” she went on, before questioning, “Pray for what? I keep working so I can pay off mom’s legal fees and her house? Do you guys want me to continue to get better so I can continue giving your dad 40 grand a month? Or is the reasoning behind you guys deciding to be hateful is that it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?” she questioned.

The Toxic singer previously spoke about the estrangement from her boys in an audio clip posted to her Instagram in September. “Since they’ve been gone, I’ve honestly felt like a huge part of me has died,” she said. “Like, literally, I have no purpose anymore.”
