The singer's son released his first album in January 2021.
Singer Céline Dion is a proud mother of three. Recently, she had more reasons to be pleased with her children. Her eldest son René-Charles is following her footsteps and the singer is brimming with pride. According to People, the Heart Will Go On singer took to Instagram to share her feelings about her son's music debut. "I'm so proud of my son. My love for him is so strong, and it touches me deeply that one of his passions is also one of mine," she wrote.
The 52-year-old Canadian singer took the moment to speak about her son's passion for music by sharing the news of his first album. The 20-year-old recently released his debut EP on January 11, 2020. His tracklist includes Mamba Mentality, Money, Thrills, and Rest, NO Ls, GG4 (feat. PAKKA), and LV.
Previously, the singer had posted a photo of her and René-Charles' on his 20th birthday. She wrote, "Twenty years ago, I had the privilege to hear the word mom for the very first time... my dream came true, and you changed our lives forever! It's hard to believe that two decades have already passed.
"You carry the color of the sky in your eyes and that same blue is the color of our love. Go out there and embrace life, and remember to never stop believing in yourself, because I believe in you," she added.
Dion also reminded her son that his father was looking down at him and blessing him. "Remember also that your father is always watching over you and guiding you. We love you so much… Happy birthday, RC! – Mom, Nelson and Eddy xx...," said Dion.
On René-Charles's 19th birthday, the singer encouraged her son to achieve all his dreams. "My dear René-Charles, I'm so proud of you and the way you're conducting yourself in life. You’re a true gentleman, and I want you to know that your father’s guidance continues to support and protect you… as I do. Keep being the best of yourself… strong, passionate, and wise, as you pursue all of your dreams in life - the sky’s the limit! And above all, have a good time!...Your happiness, is my happiness. I love you so much, my dear son! Mom xx…" wrote the mother, according to Hello Magazine.
Dion has been a single mother since the death of her husband René Angélil in January 2016. Angélil, who was battling throat cancer for years died at the age of 74. After the death of her husband, Dion raised her sons in the memory of her husband. The couple also had twins Eddy and Nelson.
