Cher is in love! The 76-year-old music legend is dating 36-year-old music producer Alexander "AE" Edwards. Speaking about their 40-year age difference, she responded to a fan on Twitter saying, “Love doesn’t know math.” She went on to state a lesson she learned from Sogyal Rinpoche, the late Tibetan Buddhist teacher and best-selling author who died in 2019. "Rinpoche told me, 'Some people meet, others recognize,' " Cher wrote.
According to PEOPLE, The Believe singer was spotted holding hands with the music executive in Los Angeles a few days ago. Edwards previously dated model and TV personality Amber Rose, and the two share a 3-year-old son Slash.

As for Cher, she has dated younger men in the past including Val Kilmer, Tom Cruise, and Rob Camilletti, all of whom are over a decade younger. "The truth was if I hadn't gone out with younger men, I would have never had a date," Cher told PEOPLE in 2021. "Younger men weren't intimidated by older women. But older men in my age category, they weren't having it." Cher has been married twice as well. First with ex-husband Sonny Bono, who died in 1998. They were married from 1964 to 1975. Later she tied with knot with singer Gregg Allman in 1975. They were married until 1979. He passed away in 2017. Cher and Alexander met during Paris Fashion Week back in September.
More recently Cher tweeted a snap of her new man captioned simply "Alexander" with a red heart emoji. According to reports, Edwards' ex, Rose accused him of having affairs with 12 different people back in August. According to PEOPLE, she took to Instagram Stories to write, "I'm tired of getting cheated on and being embarrassed behind the scenes. All 12 of y'all bums (the ones that I know of there's probably more) can have him. Y'all very much knew he was in a relationship with a baby and y'all decided to f--- him anyway. I saw all the texts and DM's. Y'all were well aware but y'all don't owe me any loyalty so it's whatever."
Rose did not want to name anyone else involved saying she's "not in the business of ruining lives," but did admit that the relationship of three years was over due to the alleged cheating. "I can't be the only one fighting for my family anymore. I've been so loyal and transparent but I haven't gotten the same energy in return," she wrote. "As for him... The lack of loyalty and the disrespect is ridiculous and I'm done."

When fans pointed this out to Cher on Twitter she brushed off fans’ fears about him, saying: “I’m in love, not blinded by it.” She also told another fan: "As we All Know …I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY,& What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am." She also assured fans that he was treating her like a Queen.
