In a jolly photo of the entire family, the Thor actor was hilariously left out by his wife Elsa Pataky and family members.
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky had a blast on Christmas eve as they invited their families from both sides to their Byron Bay mansion for a sun-soaked Christmas dinner in Australia, reports Metro.
This was the couple's first family Christmas in their lavish bay-side mansion in Australia. The partners of almost a decade had 16 guests over for a festive lunch and the photos are truly joyful.
While we all come from different walks of life and remain busy with our routine life throughout the year, we leave no stone unturned to spend the holiday with our families and friends because that's what holidays are for.
Hemsworth and Pataky's holiday photos exude the quintessential family holiday vibe where they can be seen involving in various festive shenanigans. From decorating their Christmas tree with vitamin bottles to posing for a crazy lunchtime photo; it would be hard to look away from their photos as they are all about the joy that a much-needed family time brings.
While all their holiday photos are beautiful, one that stole the show was where Hemsworth was left alone in the background as his wife posed with her family members against the backdrop of the blue bay. "I love Christmas it really brings people together. Thanks @elsapatakyconfidential and her Spanish family for truly making me feel part of the family," he wrote sarcastically.
But Pataky soon made up for it by posing for a cuddly picture with her husband with an elaborately done up lunch table at the backdrop that had very festive decorations and cutlery.
And the most adorable photo was of course of their three kids in matching pajamas decorating the Christmas tree with their mom who was twinning with them.
Chris was joined by his parents, as well as brother Luke and his wife Samantha, along with newly-single actor brother, Liam, reports the Mail. As it turns out, Hemsworth was missing having this family time for quite some time now and he wants to make up for it. The Marvel actor revealed in an interview that he will be taking time off from his hectic schedule. He also mentioned that he has constantly been working until he realized that he needs to wind off and "enjoy the moment."
"I'm going to take some time off now - probably six to eight months - and just be at home," he said. "I had a real, sort of, come down off the back of that press tour for Avengers and it was the most intense three weeks," he added.
"I realized that for so long I'd been sort of looking to the future and chasing what next... and then it hit me that, well, this is it. The thing that I've worked for and dreamt of doing, and I've just got to enjoy this moment," he said.
Here's wishing the Thor actress a year of rest and happiness!
