"I've gotten obviously to know him now as just a regular guy and all of that," said Pratt about Schwarzenegger.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is not just any regular grandpa. He is called "Opa." Chris Pratt recently had an interview with Entertainment Tonight at his movie premiere for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 on May 3 in New York, and revealed the name that his kids use to address their grandpa. "Isn't that so nice? Arnold. Opa" told Schwarzenegger's son-in-law Pratt to ET. As someone born and brought up in Austria, Schwarzenegger would like the nickname Opa, as it is an often-used German nickname for a grandfather, as per TODAY.
Pratt married Schwarzenegger's eldest daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt. They have two children together, Lyla, 2, and Eloise, who turns 1 in May. Their children also have a sweet nickname for their grandma, Schwarzenegger's ex-wife Maria Shriver, as they call her "Mama G."
As for Pratt, he also has a 10-year-old son, Jack, with his former wife Anna Faris. Schwarzenegger and Pratt also connect over their work. As seen last month, The Terminator star attended the premiere of the latest Guardians of the Galaxy installment, which will come to theatres on May 5. He also shared a doting review of Pratt's work in the movie.
"I saw #GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 last night and WOW," Schwarzenegger tweeted. "@prattprattpratt, you crushed it. A non-stop, perfect mix of comedy and action. I loved it and I’m very, very proud of you." "He was so nice to give me love and support on his social media," Pratt told ET about the appreciation that he was so nice to give him love and support on social media. Pratt also added that he might've liked the movie, otherwise, he wouldn't have posted about it.

In his 2021 film The Tomorrow War, a sci-fi flick, Pratt delivers a derivative of Schwarzenegger's trademark line from The Terminator, "I'll be back." "I showed it in front of the whole family and I said, 'I do have a line. I say, 'I will be back,'" he recalled, later telling Schwarzenegger, "And you'll see it just pales in comparison to any time you've ever delivered that iconic line."
In the movie, he said that line was just him saying it as a guy who's going into the room and that there's nothing iconic about it. "He does it all the time, too," Pratt said. He often says lines from his movies and walks out saying "I'll be back."
Pratt also discussed his love of Arnold earlier this month during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. "I've gotten obviously to know him now as just a regular guy and all of that," Pratt said. "He's a great grandfather, a great dad, and a good father-in-law and he's got a wealth of experience, oddly, in the world of promoting blockbuster action movies. It's like, who else are you gonna talk to about that kinda stuff? So that's pretty cool."
