The couple has two kids apart from the newborn, a son named Miles Theodore, 4, and a daughter named Luna Simone, 6.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend cannot be happier to welcome their newborn baby girl to the world! Teigen shared a picture of all her babies in one frame. Son Miles Theodore, 4, and daughter Luna Simone, 6, can be seen holding their baby sister the couple has named Esti Maxine Stephens. Teigen captioned the picture, "She's here! Esti Maxine Stephens - the house is bustling and our family could not be happier 💕."
The 34-year-old cookbook author also noted how "Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love." In true Teigen fashion, she also pointed out that she is learning that "you still need diapers with a c-section!? We are in bliss," she continued. "Thank you for all the love and well wishes - we feel it all! X."
41-year-old Legend also shared the same photo of their kids writing, "On Friday, we welcomed Esti Maxine Stephens to our family, and our house is overflowing with love and joy." The EGOT winner added that he's in awe of his wife's "strength and resilience and I'm so thrilled to see how Luna and Miles embrace their baby sister. I'm so, so grateful, but that doesn't seem like a big enough word…," he concluded.
Shortly after their newborn's birth, a source told PEOPLE that the couple is ecstatic about welcoming another baby."They both really wanted to add another baby to the family. It's been a long road," the source said. "Chrissy and the baby are doing well," added the insider.
The journey has been tough for the couple after suffering a pregnancy loss in 2020. They revealed that they lost their baby who they named Jack days after the model was admitted to the hospital with severe bleeding. The grief and pain, Legend said in an interview on Sunday Today With Willie Geist, prepared the two for this pregnancy, per E!. "It feels like we learned so much over the years through struggle and through the challenges that we faced," the All of Me singer said, "And I think we've both grown so much. And we're ready. We're ready for a new baby in our lives."
Legend also talked about how he and Teigen have "grown as parents" in an interview on Audacy's Check In in September. "We've spent quite a bit of time with our kids now, Luna is 6 and Miles is 4, so we've grown as parents and we're ready to bring another baby into the world," he said. He further added, "I could see us going for four" adding that he envisions the couple "growing old together, having three or four kids and having them come over for Sunday dinner, having grandkids when the time is right."
