Christian Bale has been married to his wife Sibi Blažić since 2000. They have a daughter and a son together.

For some people, marriage seems like a burden because they didn't have the right examples growing up. They might even be put off by this special bond but all it takes to change their opinion is finding the right person. Actor Christian Bale, 49, who has been married for 21 years, was one of those people. Bale married his wife, Sibi Blažić, 53, in 2000 and the couple has two kids.
They usually stay under the radar but whenever the Dark Knight actor has spoken about his lady love, with whom he worked on the Batman movie, he has been full of appreciation. "My wife was a stunt driver, she was chasing me through the city in Batman. She was driving one of the cop cars. She can do 180s and stunts and all that. She terrifies me. My wife terrifies me," he said, as per Marie Claire.
However, that's not how they met. She was working as a personal assistant to Bale's friend and Little Women co-star Winona Ryder when they met. The couple fell for each other quickly. They eloped to Las Vegas in January 2000.
"Everyone was divorced in my family so I didn't have very healthy ideas about marriage," he told the Sydney Morning Herald in July 2012. "Then I met Sibi and suddenly it seemed a fantastic idea."
They are also very serious about keeping their personal lives private. "[My wife] likes to be very private. And of course, I want to maintain that … but we have a great private life," said the English actor to Us Weekly. "She’s probably the most strong woman I’ve ever come across in my life," he gushed.
The Big Short actor might play intense characters on-screen but he's actually a family man at heart. "I’ve got incredible pride for my family," he said. Before his second child was born in 2014, he also talked about spending time with his daughter, Emmaline. He is likely equally involved with his younger child, a son named Joseph.
"The last few years of my life have been spent just watching animation — for my daughter — and getting a kick out of that," the American Hustle actor said in 2010 about fatherhood. "I love anything that she likes. If she's getting a kick out of it, I love it. I find myself tearing up at the most ridiculous things now, sitting next to my daughter while she's watching a movie," he was quoted as saying by Us Weekly. He continued, "Me and my wife look across at each other like, 'Oh my God! Are we really doing this? Yes, we are!'"
A source close to them had said that they are "truly a supportive couple." They had been "thrilled" to welcome another child into their family. During that time he even kept his wife close while he had to work. She was with him as he toured around for a film.
The Ford vs Ferrari actor gushed about his daughter as much as he gushed about his wife. "I’ve absolutely fallen into that cliché of a dad who could just happily talk about my daughter endlessly, but it’s not what I’m about in terms of being an actor. I don’t want people to know about that," he said.
The actor is currently shooting for Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia. He is accompanied by Blazic and their kids Emmaline and Joseph, reports Metro UK.
Over the course of their marriage, he's gone through dramatic transformations for his roles, and he acknowledges how it would have affected his wife. "She's had to be married to so many different characters over our marriage, and some women might say, 'Hey that's great! Variety is the spice of life.' I know that it truly would be impossible to do it without her, and she's such a good strong woman. I owe everything to her," he told SMH.
It's amazing how devoted a husband he is and also shows his gratitude towards his wife.
