Clint Eastwood has also kindled suspicions of retirement and possibly failing health after becoming increasingly reclusive over the years, rarely being photographed in public.
Clint Eastwood has created a reputation for himself in Hollywood both as a great actor and an Academy Award-winning filmmaker for more than 60 years. Despite his various claims to fame, the 93-year-old is beginning to suspect that the industry may have now made a decision to slow down his rapid career for him, according to an insider.
"Clint goes through spells of talking about retirement, but what’s worse for him, he feels the movie industry has retired on him," an insider spilled to an OK! Magazine. "He’s had a 50-year partnership with Warner Brothers, but there are new people in charge there now and they were very disappointed Clint’s last movie Cry Macho bombed at the box office."

"He was happy to finally get a go-ahead from Warner for his new film, but he isn’t counting on it happening again," the insider revealed, talking of his most recent thriller titled Juror No 2. "He wants to do this movie as a swan song and go out in a blazing sunset. Some thought Cry Macho was going to be his last film two years ago because he seemed frail even then, but the movie wasn’t well received so Clint’s gathering up the troops one last time — and hoping for a blockbuster."
Even though Eastwood's going strong, many people worry about him. "It’s still a lot for a guy in his nineties," the source continued. "People do worry about his health. He’s the director but he’s also involved in every other aspect like the casting and he’ll likely compose the score as he’s done on his other films."

Eastwood has also kindled suspicions of retirement and possibly failing health after becoming increasingly reclusive over the years, rarely being photographed in public. "Clint has always enjoyed great health and been vital and active despite his advancing age, but the fact that he hasn’t been around as much lately has a lot of people in Hollywood worried about him," another source noted.
But Eastwood's work ethic cannot be topped by anyone. The 93-year-old once worked even when a studio had caught fire. In December 2019, the star appeared on The Ellen Show, and described the Barham brush fire in November of that year as a “really bad fire that came really close to the lot,” adding that “air quality was so bad that everyone evacuated.”
As it happens, the actor was in the studio that day. “I was coming back down to do some work at a sound stage and I saw all this smoke going. And I’m getting closer and closer and it's Warner Bros. and it's smoke and I got almost up there and I thought, the whole studio’s burning down, maybe I’ll go in and see if I can retrieve something,” Clint explained his intention of going back inside.
But as he went inside, he completely forgot about the fire and continued to work! “So we went on the sound stage and started working and we forgot about it and… everybody said, ‘The studio’s been evacuated!’ And I said, ‘We’re not evacuated, we’re here working’,” the actor revealed to Ellen.
(1/2) 89-year-old film maker Clint Eastwood said “there’s work to be done“ and refused to evacuate the Warner Bros lot while working on his latest film, despite being told to leave as a precaution due to the Barham Fire.
