Duane Chapman's fiancee's son and daughter-in-law are helping Garry heal from the accident, which took place before Beth's death anniversary.
Duane 'The DOG' Chapman's 19-year-old son Garry Chapman, who is also seen on their reality TV show, was hospitalized after a car crash. Garry is Duane and Beth's youngest child and is part of his father's show Dog's Most Wanted. He had to go to the emergency room after he "wrecked" a four-wheeler.
Garry was taken to the hospital for his head injury. The Chapman patriarch and his fiance Francie Frane opened up to The Sun UK about the scary incident and how her children are helping Garry get better.
Duane, who is a father to 12 kids, revealed that Garry had stayed in the hospital overnight after the crash, while Frane added that her son Greg and his wife are "really close with Garry." She added that their bond has become so close that Greg and his wife were the ones to take the 19-year-old to the hospital and bring him back home after he was released.
"He has a slight fracture in his tailbone and a slight concussion. They’re taking care of him now. What they’re building is so [great]. So, the kids are building a relationship, and we’re building a relationship," she said.
Frane and Chapman started dating earlier this year and got engaged in May. The 67-year-old bounty hunter popped the question during a romantic candlelit proposal at their home in Colorado, according to The Sun UK. They are living with each other while quarantining at Dog's house. The reality TV star can't wait to have the "biggest wedding there's ever been," where he host his fans as well. It will be "one hell of a party," he said. His 51-year-old fiancee said, "I wasn't expecting it at all. I think I had gone to pick up some food and then when I came back he had all the lights turned down with just a few lights on and a bunch of candles lit."
She added that Chapman said, "I know that God brought you into my life and I don't want to spend one moment of it without you. Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?" The besotted 67-year-old said that nobody can take his previous wife, Beth's place as Mrs. Dog, but Frane will be the last Mrs.Chapman.
His children had not accepted his previous girlfriend, Moon Angell, and he says that they are very supportive of his relationship with Frane. His daughters "love Francie" and she talks to them "almost daily," he added. Meanwhile, his sons just want him to be happy.
The Chapman patriarch compared his youngest child to his late wife. He said that Garry is a "little Beth" and was hesitant initially to see his father dating. He "did not like any woman at all" who his father was seeing but things have changed. He now “boy talks to Francie more than” Dog. Frane added, "I’m building a really great relationship with him. I love him so much."
Garry has kept his mother close to his heart. After getting discharged from the hospital, he paid tribute to Beth on the first anniversary of her death. "I guess I have to realize that it’s only been 1 year. So many things have happened that I want to tell you about, and obviously so many things I need advice on. You always knew the path I was on and where it lead which helped you give me invaluable advice. To think I’ve not been able to lean on you for a year now makes me uneasy; but if your lessons taught me anything I can’t stop, I must keep going, until my dreams are a reality," he wrote on Instagram.
In another post he shared previously, he paid another tribute to his mom. He said, "These past few years you have stressed to be strong, now I know why you always told me to. You knew that one day soon I would need the strength to bear your loss. I just had to watch the goodbye episode for my mom. Sometimes it sucks living such a public life, but it has its moments; I’m able to look back on things like this. I love you, Mom."
