Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson Gushes About His Decade-Long Partner Lauren: "Amazing Mamas Make This World Go Around"

He was lucky to find love the second time around in his life, and so, he makes sure he lets his partner know how much she means to him.

In Hollywood, it seems like good relationships that last a long time are hard to come by. Sometimes, though, we might come across a beautiful family and the couple may not even be legally wedded but what makes them great is their commitment to each other. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may be a big man but he is one of the funniest and softest people in Hollywood. He is one of the most famous people in the world and yet we hardly know anything about his longtime partner, Lauren Hashian.

She's a singer, songwriter, and music producer, and also mama to his two beautiful children, Tiana Gia Johnson, and Jasmine Johnson. The couple has been together for over a decade now and the down-to-earth and low-key woman has been by his side through thick and thin.

The big guy credits the longevity of his relationship to humor. First of all, she teases me about everything. Everything,” he told People in 2016. “Nothing is off-limits in our house. And it’s the beauty of it. And I tease her with everything.”

The couple met on the set of his movie The Game Plan. He was then married to Dany Garcia. He has a daughter with her. They had split amicably in 2007 and Garcia is still his manager.

In 2015, he told Esquire that he and Lauren were living together for eight to nine years. Soon after his split from Dany he had found love again and the relationship moved quickly.  "To fall in love again? That’s a hard thing to do twice in the position I’m in. I’m one lucky son of a b---h," he said. They wanted to get married last year but the second pregnancy delayed their plans.

“And Mama don’t wanna take wedding pictures with a big belly—Mama wanna look good," he told Rolling Stone magazine.

He doesn't leave any opportunity to gush about his partner. “I’ve got a lot of things happening in my life, and I’ve been so lucky and fortunate to be blessed with a lot of things. The relationship part to me is my most prized thing. The people in my life. I’ve learned the power that we have to make other people happy and content in a relationship. And I have the love of my life, Lauren, who I’ve had for eight years now. I wake up every day so grateful and so thankful that I have someone like that, someone that you can walk through this world with," he once told Entertainment Tonight

She has been his rock when he lost his dear friend Paul Walker in 2013 and was right by his side. "I was driving with Lauren when she immediately turned very quiet and was looking at me, studying, wondering if I knew. I pulled over and looked at my messages and had a moment where I just caught my breath. We said a prayer right then to give his daughter strength — because we had talked about our daughters. That's what we would talk about. Both of us were divorced, and we talked about the power of being a dad and the strong connection of a dad and his girl. Then once we got home, we started bawling," he told The Hollywood Reporter

She has been there when he's been struggling with depression and mental health issues from the past. "Struggle and pain is real. We’ve all been there on some level or another," Dwayne said in an Instagram post once. He had to revisit his mom's attempted suicide while filming a scene for The Ballers.

And in turn, he had been with her when she needed him. He was right by her side when their first child was being born. "I was right there during labor, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible," he noted on Instagram. "As men, it's a miracle we should witness because it'll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman."

His respect for women and especially his partner is something he has been vocal about. When his third daughter was born in April 2018, he wrote a lovely Instagram post that touched everyone's hearts.

"I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect, and admiration I have for @laurenhashianofficial and all mamas and women out there," he said. Adding a piece of advice for men, he said: "Word to the wise gentlemen, it’s critical to be by your lady’s head when she’s delivering, being as supportive as you can.. holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do. But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer - watch your child being born. Its a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless."

For his newborn, he said that he would "Love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life. Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear."

With so many beautiful and strong women around him, he never stops showing his appreciation for them. Lauren and he share a deep bond and he is not one to shy away from letting the world know how great she is.

"Lauren does it all with a big genuine smile and is truly, the kindest and sweetest soul you’ll ever meet," he gushed in an Instagram post for Mother's Day. "Take a bow and Queen it up — you’re an amazing mama and amazing mamas make this world go around."

The couple are in no rush to walk down the aisle. "I just refer to her as my wife all the time. So a lot of people are like, 'Oh, did you get married?'" the action actor recently told ET. "I'm like, 'No. Easy. Don't rush big daddy.'"

Their focus has always been on creating a balance in the relationship with both of their hectic schedules. However, both are great parents and are perfect partners who know how to keep things light. When you see his Instagram you know that even when he is breaking a sweat he's not really breaking a sweat.
