This surely is a heartwarming gesture from the dad's end, acknowledging the stepfather for everything he's done for the daughter.

Marriages take a lot of work, and it only gets harder if the two people involved decide to go their separate ways. However, not all people can accept their ex-spouse's new partners, but a father is warming hearts all over the world for his kind gesture at his daughter's wedding. A video on TikTok is going viral for the man's gratitude and selflessness, as he made sure to include his daughter's stepfather in the wedding festivities.
Photographer Kelsey Griffith posted a video from her wedding where she was walking down the aisle to her groom who was waiting at the altar. While she walked, holding her dad's hands, he stops for a second, only to invite Griffith's stepdad to accompany them for the rest of the way.
She captioned the video: "My dad surprised my stepdad by including him in our walk down the aisle."

From the video, it's very clear that the stepdad had no idea this was about to happen, given how he was taken aback by surprise when the father extended his arm for him to join the party of two. Someone even mutters "that's very sweet," in the background.
"This is what happens when a parent loves his child with complete unselfishness," one person wrote in the comments. It takes a lot of confidence and compassion for the dad to let someone else share one of his biggest moments in life.
It wouldn't have been easy for him to know and accept the fact that his daughter grew up with the help of another man, and it's just so wonderful of him to want the other man in the picture to be a part of the wedding festivities.
Another commenter shared that this was a great example for all divorced parents to follow. "If this doesn't serve as a lesson to all divorced and or additional parents, I don't know what does," they wrote. "Congrats to all of you. More parents could learn!"
Sometimes, things get so bad between ex-spouses that it becomes difficult for them to even stay in the same room together for long, but to see them get along so well is sure a refreshing sight, isn't it? It just goes on to prove that there are still good, kind-hearted people out there that are willing to put their differences and egos aside, just for the sake of their loved ones and there's nothing more beautiful than that!
