Everyone likes to think of themselves as a loving and caring partner. We are all mostly aware of what makes us good partners but the weaknesses and areas of improvement are often left ignored. If a former partner told us about what they think the problem areas are, it can help us improve. However, most people prefer not to take that extra step to work on themselves to be a better partner. If we are able to fix the mistake we keep making in our relationships, it will improve all our relationships vastly.
Our zodiac sign can give us some idea about the mistakes we keep making repeatedly. The mistakes we make would be particular to our astrological sign and its personality.
Here is where all our weaknesses lie, based on the zodiac:
Aries individuals are dynamic people who surge forth with determination and passion in every situation. The same could apply when it comes to matters of the heart. They tend to jump/fall head over heels in love. However, the speed with which they fall can sometimes make them blind to the potential problems in their partner. From dating for a few days to vacationing together would happen rather swiftly for you. When this happens, they end up getting disappointed when the partner turns out to be not what they expected.
Taureans are usually headstrong and steadfast with their decisions and sometimes wouldn't budge from their point of view. They love their creature comforts and routines and dislike shaking things up. It might mean that they are stuck in a rut, even in their love life. Not just that, they might be unwilling to accommodate their partner too. Not giving an inch to anyone is the mistake they might be making over and over again.
The Gemini individual can mold themselves according to the audience. Their twin nature makes them a mutable sign and in their quest for mental stimulation, good conversation, and wit, they might come across as flakey. Since they are up for good times always and are forever trying new things, they can even look at people as new things to explore and then forget about them. For better relationships, they need to build strong bonds.
Cancerians are sensitive and compassionate people, the flip side of which is that they can be moody and sensitive, so people might have to walk on eggshells around them. While they are caring individuals, their love can be overwhelming sometimes. That becomes a big problem in relationships. "Cancer people can love you so much they start to resemble your mom or your dad," says Karrie Myers Taylor, an astrologer for life empowerment, to Bustle. A romantic relationship needs to stay that - romantic - and not turn into a caregiving one.
"Leos are always the life of the party, but sometimes they think you've come to see an actual show, not socialize," Taylor says. "Leos think they are being generous if they let you get a word in edge-wise." Dramatic and self-assured, a Leo individual will need to work on letting their partner also express themselves openly. They would have to work on being better listeners as well.
Virgos are highly practical and analytical individuals who constantly work on self-growth on their own because they are very self-critical. They don't give themselves enough credit for how capable they are and how much they have achieved. Unfortunately, this can extend into their relationships too, where they tend to over-analyze their partners and egg them on to do more and do better. Their need for structure and routine in every aspect of their life can be their undoing in romantic relationships.
Possibly the most social of all the zodiac signs, Librans love dating and socializing. They are ruled by the goddess of love and beauty, Venus, after all. The social butterflies of the zodiac, they probably have friends from all spheres. Librans like to have a home to settle into with their partner, but not everyone they fall for would want that, thus leading to disappointment in love. And sometimes, because they like harmony and hate disappointing others, they may not open up to their partner about conflicts and will end up avoiding confrontations.
The intensity of a Scorpio is undebatable. They don't do anything lightly, not even romance. They're either all in or all out. The flip side of this is that these folks can be jealous and suspicious of their partners. They are also very cautious about new relationships and would want to control the situation completely. This is where their mistake lies. They don't know how to go with the flow. They constantly worry that their partner would leave or cheat on them instead of living in the moment with them.
They love an adventure but ask them about settling down and they will run the other way. Their constant need for freedom and space sometimes makes them push people away. It doesn't stop them from wanting love and attention, however. In a romantic relationship, don't make light of the space and emotional disconnect from each other. It might slip away before you know it.
These people are responsible grown-ups and like being with other responsible people. They like a partnership between two mature individuals who will have similar goals, financial and otherwise. However, that makes them a little predictable and petty. Romance might be the last thing on their mind. They can often forget that their romantic partner has emotional needs too.
They love taking care of the world at large but in the process, forget to take care of their individual needs. In their quest for making positive changes, they forget that their romantic partner is not a fellow humanitarian. They might be focussing on the macro and forgetting the finer details of the relationship. They need to learn to just have fun with their partner and relax.
These are the hopeless romantic folks who can let their imagination run wild but don't take action to make it a reality. They worry that reality will disappoint them and sometimes, intentionally, don't focus on the problems. Since problems make a relationship more real and break the fantastic trance it holds on them, they would rather bury problems than address them.
