Visual puzzles are a fun way to spend some time. They keep us engaged and our minds sharp. They are considered to be a brain exercise since it requires us to use both sides of our brain. The right side of the brain is responsible for creativity, emotions, and intuitive thinking; and the left is for logical, objective, and methodical thinking, according to Cronicas Puzzleras.

To solve a puzzle, both sides of the brain must work together, and keeping this crucial organ active keeps our cognitive thinking healthy. Not only that, it improves our visual and spatial reasoning. Solving a puzzle also helps us improve our memory and makes us pay more attention to details. There are more benefits to doing visual puzzles. They help us keep our decision-making abilities sharp and also increase our IQ. Better yet, it can improve stress levels, something most adults need.

Challenging ourselves mentally can also keep dementia and Alzheimer's at bay. More research is needed about this but games, puzzles, and other types of brain training might be able to slow memory loss and other mental problems, as per WebMD.

Since there are so many benefits to doing puzzles, which like any other form of exercise should be done regularly, here is a puzzle for you.

This one by artist Gergely Dudás is one of the hardest puzzles. It's not easy to find the penguin among the toucans. This puzzle will truly test your attention to detail because all the birds here look like toucans. There is a subtle difference between the toucan and the penguin in this illustration.
