Gayle King is celebrating her 68th birthday! With three different birthday celebrations, the co-host of CBS Mornings took her birthday celebrations nationwide! "2022 ended not one but THREE birthday celebrations! New York! California & Hawaii … with all of my favorite peeps," King captioned a beautiful carousel of images and videos from her birthday celebrations that she posted on Instagram.

The TV personality posted a video of herself blowing out candles atop a tiered cake with yellow icing along with pictures of her partying with her CBS Mornings coworkers, family, and friends, including BFF Oprah Winfrey and her boyfriend Steadman Graham. Many birthday greetings were left in King's comment area by well-known pals like Mindy Kaling, Rita Wilson, and DJ D-Nice, per PEOPLE. The Temptations playing their 1964 song My Girl and wishing her a happy birthday while donning matching yellow suits, according to King, was the "biggest surprise." She wrote, "How did they know my favorite color is YELLOW! New year off to a great start I'd say … I feel the love."

Gayle is a huge fan of The Temptations. In August, The Temptations' final surviving member, Otis Williams, and Gayle King sat down to discuss their history and influence in the same recording studio where The Temptations famously recorded their breakthrough song, My Girl. The two discussed the Temptations' roots during their conversation at the Motown Museum in Detroit. “It was a moment of honor for me because I just admire who he is and what he does. Just him as a man,” King had said at the time, per Local Today.

On Monday, Winfrey, 68, tweeted a video of her trekking with her best friend King. "How did @gayleking do during our 5-hour hike? (7 hours for Gayle, actually)," the media mogul captioned the video. "Here you go—she says her toes hurt today." In a previous piece, Winfrey outlined how the excursion acted as a "gratitude hike" towards the end of the year. "The whole intention of this hike is your gratitude for the life you live, for the year you've had, for the blessings you've received, so it's a gratitude and praise hike," she said. "I'll be doing this in the name of Barbara Walters today, who has been a great mentor and friend to me."

Winfrey was especially appreciative that she could complete the hike a year after having had knee surgery last year. "A year ago I couldn't walk and I finished 2022 walking 10.2 miles up a mountain," the former talk show host wrote. "God is good."
