TikTok can be a bizarre and entertaining place at the same time. However, some of them can also be a little dangerous. When Autumn Cathey started filming a TikTok video, she did not anticipate an awful ending to it. Unfortunately, she landed up in the hospital with missing teeth.

According to The Sun, Cathey and her friends were enjoying cocktails at a bottomless brunch when she thought of creating a video for her social media audience. In the video posted on TikTok, the girl is seen saying, "This is me after four mimosas." Moments later, she reappeared to declare that she had a few more of the champagne and orange juice drinks. "This is me after, I think, six mimosas," said Cathey.

The clip later cuts into a part with Cathey and her friends are bragging about the number of drinks they had downed. "This is me after all the flights of mimosas," said one of her friends in the video. The initial part of the video just showcased a group of youngsters enjoying an evening. But things took a different turn very quickly. In the later part of the video, Cathey is seen climbing onto the shoulder of one of her male friends. The friend recording at that point is heard saying, "Don't talk I'm videoing. Oh s**t she's getting on his shoulders."

The clip then cuts to a horrific scene. Cathey is seen sitting in a car with blood spattered on her chin with multiple teeth missing. The video also showed her friends trying to console her. "It's okay....it's okay," they said. Though the video did not capture what caused the accident, it is safe to assume that she fell off her friend's shoulder.

Meanwhile, the clip that was uploaded with the title "Bottomless mimosas are a drug," has garnered more than 190,000 views. Many commented on the video and sympathized with Cathey. "I've never gasped out loud at a TikTok video before. I should have seen it coming but I didn't," said one viewer. Others claimed that they saw it coming when she got onto the guy's shoulders. Another stated, "As soon as you climbed onto his shoulders I said 'someone is definitely ending up in hospital.'" One viewer wrote, "As she climbed on his shoulders, every fiber of my mom's bones were screaming nooooo!!!"

Cathey, on the other hand, responded to her concerned TikTok fans. She told them that she was on the path to recovery. "I'm fine. They put the teeth right back in and put glue across the whole upper row of teeth."

Such incidents are not rare. In one unfortunate incident, a 10-year-old from Palermo in Sicily died while attempting the viral choking challenge on the social media platform. The challenge requires a person to "choke themselves until they pass out for several seconds," according to Insider. The girl's parents, who were devastated by her death stated, "We knew that (our daughter) went on TikTok for dances, to look at videos. How could I imagine this atrocity?" The death motivated Italy's data protection watchdog to demand Tik Tok to block users who refrained from confirming their age on the platform. In another tragic incident, a 12-year-old boy was left braindead because of the same choking challenge.
