The Great Conjunction was witnessed all around the world on December 21.
Stargazers were in for a treat on December 21, 2020, as two of the solar system's most beautiful (after Earth, of course) and brightest planets, Jupiter and Saturn, engaged in a celestial dance in the evening sky, just a few days before Christmas.
Known as the Great Conjunction, this event has been witnessed by everyone around the world. According to NASA, it's after 400 years that the planets have come this close to each other and almost 800 years since Saturn and Jupiter came together. What's interesting is that even though they seemed close to each other, they're still hundreds of millions of miles apart in space.

With the things that have happened in 2020 - the pandemic, one of the most stressful elections in history, and a global movement in the form of Black Lives Matter, it's not a surprise that we witnessed the biggest astronomical event of our lifetimes. Does the rare alignment affect you in any way? Yes, a little.
The alignment creates huge cosmic energy which will change things socially, politically, and personally. It is also a time that can bring a huge change in your life in 2020 as well as 2021, and we're talking about optimistic changes. So how will you kick off 2021 on a personal level?
According to Allure, in astrology, both Jupiter and Saturn are associated with power and authority, however, they function differently. While Jupiter stands more for having a good time, wealth, and health, Saturn focuses on responsibilities and setting limits.
Looking at this a political shift can be expected next year like 2020 as it will bring about cultural moments that will change how the world has been functioning until now. It might help us re-envision equality, fairness, and freedom.
Health is another field that can be affected by the great conjunction because as 2020 is coming to an end, a new coronavirus mutant strain has been found in the UK. So, keeping that in mind, your focus should be on keeping your health a priority as well. A little bit of vigilance can make things work out for you the way you want them to.
Also, while you make plans for yourself and for your family, do not forget to keep in mind that for your family to be happy, you have to be the first one to feel happy. Do not, we repeat, do not dedicate 2021 entirely to everyone else in your family because you need the same attention on yourself that you shower on them.
Let's take a quick look at how your zodiacs are going to fare:
1. Air signs: Aquarius, Gemini and Libra will find themselves moving out of their comfort zones with pleasure becoming their priority and trying out new things even if it means a new haircut, as per Elle.
2. Water signs: Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer, will find time to heal themselves and connect with their inner self, eventually finding peace.
3. Fire signs: Aries, Sagittarius, and Leo will see a positive change in their personal and professional lives. They will also become more social.
4. Earth signs: Virgo, Taurus, and Capricorn will find opportunities that they had always been looking for.
However, let's not forget one major thing, the Great Conjunction might present us with great new opportunities but ultimately it's upon us on how we use it today and in the coming year. So, onwards and upwards!
