Gwen Stefani, 53, proves that she has not aged and is "so gorgeous then and now."
It's a nostalgic day for Gwen Stefani.
The pop artist shared a photo on Instagram on Monday, May 22, offering her 16 million followers a look back at her No Doubt days, when she initially rose to fame. The famed band's 53-year-old lead singer posted a black-and-white snapshot from her early professional days. Stefani captioned the post, "Little old me :) gx."
Stefani is seen in the picture smiling softly and looking right at the camera. She has a polka dot outfit on, beaded bracelets on both arms, a ring on her pinkie, and she has her chin resting on her fist. Her distinctive chunky lowlights and blonde hair are tied up in pigtails, leaving two framing strands hanging about her face. She completes the vintage-inspired look with eyeliner, lipstick, and extremely thin eyebrows.
Fans took to her comments expressing adoration for her, per PEOPLE. One fan wrote, "Doesn't even have to be said, But so gorgeous then and now." Another added, "Just as perfect now!" Numerous other followers also added their love for her rock band days, "Miss those days! Bring No Doubt back, please!" The dress with polka dots she was wearing in the throwback picture looked very identical to the one she wore last week to commemorate her husband Blake Shelton obtaining his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Don't Speak singer has previously credited her agelessness to 'falling in love' after personal turmoil, per Hello Magazine.
While there, she donned a similar black and white polka-dot dress, but with black dots on a white frock instead of the white ones in her throwback, per PEOPLE. The singer expressed her love for Shelton in a moving address at the occasion, stating, "It blows my mind to be here today," receiving a star in his honor, and that she and "the boys," referring her sons Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9, "could not be more proud" of Shelton.
"There is no one more authentic than this guy. He lives, and he breathes country music. He is a country music jukebox, and it is in his DNA," she said. "He was born to do this and hasn't done anything because he wanted to be a star. He has just always been a star."
"He's humble, he's genuine, and trust me, wherever we go everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton," continued the songstress. "Blake, you are a rare human being. The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream and you are part of the American Dream. And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you," Stefani concluded.
