Photographer Sarah McGonagall tweeted an old news story that revealed something most of us had remained shockingly unaware of until then—Brad Pitt morphs into every single woman he dates. From Juliette Lewis to Angelina Jolie, this is a man who really gets what twinning with one's partner means. Now, one of Pitt’s most famous exes is sharing her thoughts on the meme. Gwyneth Paltrow responded to Man Repeller founder Leandra Cohen’s Instagram post by joking about the photos, as per Huff Post.

“Or we like to look like him, let’s face it,” Paltrow wrote, as captured by @commentsbycelebs. This comment makes complete sense as we’re talking about a two-time recipient of PEOPLE magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive honor. Most people would like to look like him. Paltrow, who dated Pitt for a few years in the mid-’90s, is now “friendly” with her ex, though she told Howard Stern a few years back that they rarely see each other, per ET.

She also discussed what went wrong in the relationship. The pair, who were even engaged at one point, dated from 1994 to 1997. “I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met,” she explained. (Pitt was 31). “It’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my a**. You can’t make that decision when you’re 22 years old, you know? ... I think I was a kid and I wasn’t ready, and he was too good for me.”

Paltrow also told Vogue, they were "a very '90s couple." As the pair was the subject of constant media attention, from matching moments to romantic Parisian getaways. The actors met while filming the movie Seven in 1994 and started dating shortly afterward. "I knew immediately, I'll tell you that much," Pitt later told Rolling Stone of falling for Paltrow on set. "I got within 10 feet of her, and I got goofy. I couldn't talk."

During his acceptance speech at Golden Globes for best supporting actor for his performance in 12 Monkeys in 1996, Pitt did not forget to mention Paltrow at the time, thanking his co-stars, family, friends, and," especially the love of my life," he said. "My angel, Gwyneth Paltrow."

They dated for two years before Pitt proposed to her in December 1996. The couple also made fashion history when they arrived at the 1997 premiere of The Devil's Own in New York City with coordinating haircuts. "Awww, matching haircuts!" Paltrow said when looking back at some of her most iconic hair moments in an Instagram video promoting Goop's Restore + Shine Hair. "We went to the same stylist for the cut. [Celebrity hairstylist] Chris McMillan cut both of our hair like this," she revealed in the 2021 clip. But the pair never made it down the aisle — just six months later, they decided to part ways.

Paltrow later spoke up on their break up and said, "I'm so lucky that I spent time with Brad, somebody who was such a good person! Especially when I was, like, such a mess." She added, "My kind of internal stuff really tripped up that whole relationship." She continued. "And I felt really responsible, and also like I was the architect of my own misery … I just made a big mess out of it."
