Betty White is known to spread cheer and her birthday will be another such event to spread love and joy.
Betty White, the First Lady of Television, will turn 98 tomorrow! The actress has come a long way from the time she started her career in television in the 30s and won many hearts across the nation. The details from her oh-so-fun birthday party on January 17 is out, and we can see that it is going to be a typical Betty White party.
According to EpochTimes, she will be hosting a party at her home for her close friends and family. There is going to be a lot of food, fun, drinks, and a bunch of witty oneliners considering how cool the nonagenarian is.
A friend of White has a few hints about the star’s upcoming party in an interview with Closer Weekly. "She still likes to drink, laugh and tell stories,” the friend shared. “It will be at her home with her longtime friends and stepchildren. She’s still close with them and their children. They’ll order food in and have fun.” Betty's love for her late husband's children—David, 71; Martha, 70; and Sarah, 68 is evident whenever she speaks of them.
White has always been known to be a sassy woman who never shies away from speaking her mind. Speaking of her age, "It’s your mental attitude. So many of us start dreading age. Make the most of it,” reports The Epoch Times.
The Golden Girls star surely practices what she preaches. According to her friend, she is still witty as hell and quick to come back with cheeky retorts. “Everyone wants her to retire to [her vacation property in Carmel, California], but Hollywood is in her blood. She likes to be close to the action, even at her age.”
She doesn't get sad about leaving the world. Perhaps because she is not waiting around for life to happen. She is busy having fun and living a full life as she spends the ninth decade of her life in her Brentwood home in L.A, which she once shared with her late husband, Allen Ludden. And like everything else, her sarcasm and humor make the ride smooth for herself and others around her.
Her friend recounts her saying, "Every day my world gets smaller." The friend also remarks, "So many people she knew and loved have passed. She’s hopeful that someday they’ll all be reunited. She’s not morbid about it, though, and definitely doesn’t dwell on it.”
Among the many skills she has, what stands out is her ability to stay motivated and passionate. Today reports how much she emphasized on living a full life. "I think that everybody should cultivate a passion. Don’t be afraid to really get hooked on something.” She isn't just one of Hollywood's fav gal, but also an animal rights activist. She believes that doing what you love and taking things with a pinch of salt can help people age better.
The Hollywood icon has always been good with words and never disappoints her admirers with her advice. She had urged women to add value to her being and never let anyone hurt her self-worth. "Whether you are a woman or you love one, you should remember that she's more than just flesh and bone, White said. "A lady likes to be complimented on her looks, her eyes, her figure," she said. "But the personality comments are much appreciated."
For the women who are growing old, she said, "Older women still have a full-life. "Don't try to be young. Just open your mind," White said. "Stay interested in stuff. There are so many things I won't live long enough to find out about, but I'm still curious about them."
We wish Betty White a very happy birthday and a healthy, joyful, fun life ahead!
