Her 64-year-old husband continues to face charges over the October 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the 'Rust' set.
Hilaria Baldwin is reflecting on the night she and Alec Baldwin met 12 years ago. The 39-year-old yoga instructor and entrepreneur met the 64-year-old veteran actor at a New York City restaurant. Sharing a snap on Instagram taken "probably a year-ish after" she first met the actor, she captioned it, "12 years ago, this night, we met. What a journey we have had been through, to, in, and around and continuing…every emotional place I don't think either one of us could have ever predicted." The author and podcaster continued, "But here we are…still standing, surrounded by all of you amazing humans, our tiny babes…and together. In it with you, Alec…I'm here, we are here…never alone." She also added that she and Baldwin appear "both much younger and less" in the photo.
Hilaria has been married to the Oscar-nominated actor for over ten years, and they share seven children—Carmen Gabriela, 9, Raphael Thomas, 7, Leonardo, 6, Romeo Alejandro David, 4, Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 2, Maria Lucía Victoría, 23 months, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 4 months.
Her post comes amid charges relating to Baldwin's involvement in the 2021 on-set death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hilaria, who wed Baldwin, 64, in 2012, has stood by her husband throughout the ordeal. In October 2021, the Motherless Brooklyn actor allegedly shot and murdered Hutchins as he was getting ready to shoot a scene on the set in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Prosecutors dropped the firearms enhancement charge originally brought against the actor/producer, per The Guardian. However, he still faces a charge of involuntary manslaughter for the shooting. If he is convicted it would carry a sentence of 18 months in jail. The 30 rock star also faces a civil lawsuit from Halyna's parents and sister.

On January 19, his lawyer Luke Nikas of Quinn Emanuel said the announcement of criminal charges against the actor "distorts Halyna Hutchins' tragic death and represents a terrible miscarriage of justice." In a statement to PEOPLE, he added, "Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun — or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win," the attorney concluded.
Hilaria addressed the support her family has received during this difficult time on her podcast Witches Anonymous. "It's been an emotional time for my family and I do so want to express to you how grateful I am for your support and your kindness and your reason," she said. "Quite honestly, without it, we would crumble. So thank you so much for being our rock right now because I don't feel so strong."
