"I owe everything I have to this woman," Alec wrote in another post.
Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin are expressing their gratitude for the love they share. Hilaria shared an emotional image of her and her husband after the criminal charges against Alec in the murder of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins were dismissed, per PEOPLE.
Hilaria's Instagram post on Thursday, April 20, featured Alec, 65, cradling her in his arms and on his lap, with just a single red heart in the caption. Alec's eyes were closed as his 39-year-old wife rested her head on his shoulders, her face hidden by her hair. The couple, who have seven children together, received a flood of encouraging responses in the comments section, which Hilaria had restricted access to. "Support and true love," one follower wrote, while another added, "So happy for you both, you made it through a really tough situation, so much love and respect you have for each other."
Alec also posted a picture of the couple at a restaurant on his Instagram page with his arms around his wife and his eyes closed, while Hilaria smiled subtly next to him. Alec wrote in the caption, "I owe everything I have to this woman," adding, "And to you Luke," likely referring to his lawyer Luke Nikas.
In connection with the October 2021 on-set shooting that killed Hutchins, 42, and injured director Joel Souza, Alec was initially charged with a crime in January. On October 21, 2021, Hutchins was shot and died after a pretend gun Alec was holding that turned out to have live ammunition fired. The former cast member of 30 Rock insists that he did not fire the shot.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, a Rust armorer, and Alec were both previously accused of two counts of involuntary manslaughter; prosecutors later withdrew the accusation that included a firearms enhancement against both of them.
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Alec's attorneys, Nikas and Alex Spiro, said, "We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident."
Alec and other Rust creators agreed to settle a wrongful death lawsuit brought by Hutchins' widower, Matthew Hutchins, in October 2022. Along with the settlement, the group decided to finish the film with Matthew now serving as executive producer, along with producer Grant Hill (The Thin Red Line), who was nominated for an Academy Award, and cinematographer Bianca Cline (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On), who would take Hutchins' place.
The Associated Press reported last week that production on Rust has now begun in Montana.
