The 48-year-old actress said that her due date, April 16, is also her late father Stephen Swank's birthday.
Hilary Swank is increasingly thrilled as the end of her pregnancy approaches. She and her husband, Philip Schneider, are expecting twins in April of this year, and the Academy Award winner is overjoyed, per TODAY.
The 48-year-old actress posted a selfie on Instagram on Sunday showing her beaming in a kitchen while baring her baby bump. Swank stands with her hands on her hips in the photo, wearing black maternity pants, a matching bra, comforting brown slippers, and a gray robe. She captioned the adorable picture, "Oven's heatin' up, dough's beginning to rise!!"
On October 5, 2022, the Million Dollar Baby actress revealed she was expecting twins in an Instagram post. "Coming soon… DOUBLE feature," Swank wrote in a post alongside a video of herself pointing to her bump. The twin infants will be the first children of Swank and Schneider, who wed in a private ceremony in Carmel, California in 2018.
Swank stated on The Drew Barrymore Show a few days after making her baby announcement that her due date, April 16, is also her late father Stephen Swank's birthday.
Swank paid tribute to her father in a poignant Instagram post on the one-year anniversary of his passing just before sharing that she was pregnant. “I can’t believe it’s been a year since you’ve transitioned. You are missed beyond measure and forever in my heart," added Swank, who took over as her father's primary caregiver in 2015 following his lung transplant, per PEOPLE.
Swank shared that she and Schneider will be working double shifts when she revealed her pregnancy on Good Morning America in October 2022. "This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I'm gonna be a mom," said the actress at the time, adding, "And not just of one, but of two. I can't believe it."
Swank further made an appearance last month during a guest appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, when she discussed how being pregnant with twins has made her wonder at the miracle of pregnancy. "I feel like women are superheroes," Swank said. "What our bodies do? I have such, like, a whole newfound respect. I mean, I love women, I've always loved women, but now, I'm like, 'Wow, we can do this!'"
Swank really is a superhero! She's been working out while pregnant, posting updates of her pregnancy journey. "Me and Da Babes workin' out," Swank captioned the video, adding, "Been a lonnnnnnng time since #FitnessFriday."
