“I always wanted to have a child of my own with someone who would treat us right and love us unconditionally,” she wrote.
Ireland Baldwin is being candid about her difficulties with mental health as she goes through her pregnancy. The 27-year-old opened up in a sincere statement on Instagram on Wednesday in which she shares the difficulties she has had thus far in her pregnancy.
Baldwin clarifies that she is not posting this to receive sympathy, but rather in the hope that someone would read it and feel less alone. “Pregnancy is hard,” she wrote on Instagram. “It takes so much out of you. I wasn’t ready for that,” adding, “I’m exhausted. I’m unmotivated. I feel like life is passing by.”
In the latest post, Ireland expressed a need for more support, per HuffPost. “I grew up with a very jaded perception of what love really looked like,” she wrote. “I always wanted to have a child of my own with someone who would treat us right and love us unconditionally.” Baldwin highlighted throughout the post that she feels "alone." She thanked her boyfriend RAC and declared, "I would have lost my mind without him."
"I underestimated just how hard pregnancy would be on my mind and my body," Baldwin wrote on Instagram. https://t.co/U1WbdzfCd7

Ireland, the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, broke the news last month in December, via an Instagram post, that she's pregnant with boyfriend RAC aka André Allen Anjos! She confirmed the news by captioning the pregnancy test shot she shared to her Instagram Stories with the words "It's not a dog lol," responding to the numerous comments that seemed to think Baldwin was pulling a prank by uploading a photo of a puppy instead of a human baby, per PEOPLE.
Baldwin continues by acknowledging that she's come to realize that some of her friends were only there to party and that "it's hard" to make new friends when you're 27. People have unrealistic expectations of pregnant women, Baldwin said, adding that "this s—- is hard," adding that "people expect you to be glowing and angelic and in a constant state of bliss." Even though it has been a challenging period for her, Baldwin continues, "None of this reflects on how excited I am to be her mom."
Baldwin further notes how difficult it is to be away from family during these times. “It’s hard not being really close to the family to begin with because they live far or are idiots that I want nothing to do with,” she wrote, adding, “It’s hard seeing other people go through this and have their parents close by.”
It's unclear to whom Baldwin was referencing when she used the word "idiots," but she did seem to have had a very harsh upbringing. Her parents' divorce in 2001 sparked a contentious custody battle that lasted four years. In 2007, the court case took a particularly unpleasant turn after the media obtained a voicemail Alec Baldwin had left for his daughter, who was 11 at the time. The girl was described as "a rude, thoughtless, little pig" by the older Baldwin in it.
Although Ireland Baldwin subsequently said, "The only problem with the voice mail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was," her mother told reporters, adding, "Divorce is hard for a kid, no matter how you cut it."
