"It was like a father-daughter bonding experience, and they started on the original ones," Weisz shared.
Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz's husband, and Grace, their daughter, are huge Star Wars enthusiasts.
The actress, 53, revealed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that her 4-year-old daughter became a little too "obsessed" with the well-known sci-fi movie series after seeing it with her father, per PEOPLE. She was promoting her new series Dead Ringers at the time of the interview. "It was like a father-daughter bonding experience, and they started on the original ones," Weisz told host Stephen Colbert.
She also mentioned that she's not that into it but her daughter got instantly obsessed and kept asking them to Google everything related. "She kept saying, 'Google this. Google this: What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?'"
"She wants to know everything," she added. "She's obsessed with the mythology and these characters are so real for her."

Grace's obsession with the movies, according to Weisz, was becoming a bit "too intense," so her father intervened and told her that Star Wars is broken. It happened when they were in London, Weisz said. Grace told her that her dad said Star Wars is broken. So they can't watch it anymore. She asked if it was still broken even when they came back to New York. Weisz told her that it was.
Grace has watched the first three original Star Wars movies, according to the actress, and Craig has shown her some scenes from the following films. Colbert then asked Weisz about the movie franchise since she was unaware that the first movie was originally titled Star Wars and could not remember if she had seen the series or not. When Colbert asked her how many movies are in the franchise, she incorrectly answered saying 12.
Before asking Weisz a few more general movie questions, Colbert joked that this is the "part of the movie where we find out [she is] the alien." He proceeded to ask her "What is the thing they're trying to destroy in the movie," warning the audience "don't tell her."
"Darth Vader?" Weisz also mistakenly answered. She finally answered correctly when he inquired about the name of the "spiritual thing" they employ, responding with "the Force," to which Colbert said, "Thank you! On to the next round!"

Weisz made an appearance on TODAY when host Willie Geist questioned the 53-year-old actress on the prospect of collaborating with her husband once more. "I think we aren't going to at the moment," she says, per PEOPLE. "I think we really love our private life as a life, as a family, and then we go to work separately."
The Black Widow actress continues, "We really enjoyed that experience, but I think it's nicer to — it also means we can alternate. So I can stay home with the family while he works, we can swap out. If we're both doing something at the same time, it's probably less ideal."
