While talking on YouTuber Logan Paul's podcast Implausive, Kevin Hart said that while he doesn't know the "exact details" of Foxx's predicament, he is aware that the actor is making a full recovery. "Jamie's always been a private person to a certain degree, but I think the dope thing is that he's getting better in his situation and everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt," Hart said on the podcast. "You just want the guy to get out of the situation and to get back home."

In an April 23 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Foxx's pal, Nick Cannon, who will take over as host of the Fox game show, Beat Shazam, provided an update on the actor's health. "Man, I'm praying," Cannon said when asked how the 55-year-old actor was doing. "You see, I posted on Instagram. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother." He continued, "I know he's doing so much better because I'm actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor."
"I can't really say what it is, but it'll be out there soon," Cannon promised, referring to the 'favor,' sharing that he can't talk about it as of now. "I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it's a beautiful thing. He's awake. They say he's alert, so, we love it. That's family right there," he added.
