Some friends of the actor, including Courteney Cox and John Legend showed their love and support to Jamie Foxx.
For the first time since he experienced a medical issue, Jamie Foxx is speaking up. The 55-year-old Ray actor thanked his followers on Instagram on May 3 for their support and concern, weeks after his daughter Corinne disclosed that he had "experienced a medical complication."
"Appreciate all the love!!!" he wrote in his brief post. "Feeling blessed," he added. Famous friends of Foxx, including Courteney Cox and John Legend, showed their support in the comments, per USA TODAY. "Yesssss!!!! Take all the time you need bro!!!!" Kenan Thompson commented while Mary J. Blige wrote, "Love you Jamie" with a string of hearts.
While talking on YouTuber Logan Paul's podcast Implausive, Kevin Hart said that while he doesn't know the "exact details" of Foxx's predicament, he is aware that the actor is making a full recovery. "Jamie's always been a private person to a certain degree, but I think the dope thing is that he's getting better in his situation and everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt," Hart said on the podcast. "You just want the guy to get out of the situation and to get back home."

In an April 23 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Foxx's pal, Nick Cannon, who will take over as host of the Fox game show, Beat Shazam, provided an update on the actor's health. "Man, I'm praying," Cannon said when asked how the 55-year-old actor was doing. "You see, I posted on Instagram. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother." He continued, "I know he's doing so much better because I'm actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor."
"I can't really say what it is, but it'll be out there soon," Cannon promised, referring to the 'favor,' sharing that he can't talk about it as of now. "I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it's a beautiful thing. He's awake. They say he's alert, so, we love it. That's family right there," he added.
The Foxx family had said in a statement published on Corinne Foxx's Instagram on April 12 that the actor "experienced a medical complication" and is now on the mend. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery," the statement read. "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."
