Jamie Foxx is active and is up and about according to his daughter, post the medical complication that worried his family and fans alike. The Day Shift actor's 29-year-old daughter, Corinne Foxx, used her Instagram stories on May 12 to refute reports in the media that her father's health had gotten worse. “Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote in the status that had the following tabloid headline: “Jamie Foxx’s Loved Ones Reportedly Preparing For The Worst.”
“My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating,” she continued as she refuted the report about her father’s health. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!” the post added as it talked about rumors about Jamie’s health. Fans may expect an "exciting work announcement coming next week too," Corinne further added as she concluded her statement on the social media platform.
The 55-year-old actor shares daughter Corinne with his ex-girlfriend Connie Kline. Annalise Bishop, a child he fathered with Kristin Grannis, is his other daughter. Corinne previously shared his current health status in a now-deleted message on Instagram on April 12 on behalf of the Foxx family, as per TODAY.
“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday, (April 11). Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” read the health update shared by her for followers. The American actor’s agent also revealed that Jamie experienced a medical emergency on the morning of April 11 and was rushed to an Atlanta hospital, in a statement to NBC News when asked about the whereabouts and health updates.
“His condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family, some of whom were not in town, came to the hospital,” he said adding that the actor is awake and speaking in an email. Jamie Foxx had been until recently filming for his forthcoming action-comedy Back in Action in Atlanta which also stars Glenn Close and Cameron Diaz. A week after he posted an Instagram video of himself on a big yacht, Jamie Foxx was reported to be having health issues.
After getting better and heartfelt messages for his well-being The Django Unchained actor shared a post on his Instagram account thanking all the well-wishers. “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” read the post. Actor Halle Berry commented on the post saying, “Love you, Jamie.” While other stars and celebrities like Rappers DJ Khaled and Ludacris expressed with emojis that they were praying for the Just Mercy star.
"Hey bro,” AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys wrote. “My man (you’re) in my prayers day and night, bro. Let’s get you better and home.” Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson added, “Yesssss!!!! Take all the time you need bro!!!!”
