The family asks for privacy during this time."  The Academy Award-winning actor experienced the emergency while filming Netflix's Back In Action in Atlanta but is currently on the road to recovery. Details of the condition have not been disclosed so far.

The Gold Digger singer revealed that he never considered himself "the marrying type" in his memoir Act Like You Got Some Sense. "Because I've had two children without being married to their mothers, the subject of marriage has hovered over my head in one way or another for years," he wrote in his book, per PEOPLE. He said that everyone's asking him about marriage, including his daughters' mothers, people in his family, strangers on the street, and even Oprah.

He added that he was never convinced of the idea of marriage and didn't think it necessary. He had friends who are in great marriages, others not so much. For him, it never felt like marriage was needed to raise his children in a loving and safe environment. He said, "At least not for now—maybe in a few decades when I'm in a wheelchair and need somebody to push me around and change my diaper."

"And that's really powerful for a young girl to grow up and have such a strong father figure in her life," she once said in an interview on CBS This Morning: Saturday in 2021.
