Change ain't easy, and when you have to give up your entire way of life for another life in a new continent, it can sure be hard. However, what matters is staying true to yourself, taking care of your loved ones, and remaining committed to your purpose. Prince Harry, who prefers to be called just Harry now, is going through a life-changing phase.

Although he grew up as a royal, Harry has always followed his heart and shown exceptional empathy and concern for people across the globe, much like his mother Diana. He even chose to give up his royal life and moved to the US with Meghan Markle and their son Archie.

The couple is looking forward to taking many high-impact initiatives with their non-profit foundations—Archewell—even as they spend their time in isolation in their new home in LA.  But all these changes have not been easy for Harry, says his friend Dr. Jane Goodall. The legendary primatologist and anthropologist has been friends with the prince for a while now. Prince Harry interviewed her for a magazine in July 2019. Markle is also good friends with the 86-year-old conservation expert, who was invited to their Frogmore Cottage house, according to the Daily Mail

Goodall, who has been in touch with the royal, said that he was finding his new life "a bit challenging." Dr. Goodall spoke openly about how the new changes in Harry's life were impacting him, including the pause on the operations of the couple's foundation.

"I don't know how his career is going to map out, but yes, I've been in touch [with Harry]," shared Dr. Goodall. "Though I think he's finding life a bit challenging just now."

When it was suggested that Harry and his big brother William are champions of conservation, she said, "Yes—except they hunt and shoot. But I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting, so I suspect that is over for him." She said that Harry had hinted he would be stepping away from the royal family months before making the announcement.

She spoke about a conversation she had with him in the summer of 2019 when she had visited Windsor Castle for her Roots & Shoots education program. "At the end [of the conversation with Harry] Meghan came in to listen with Archie. He was very tiny and very sleepy—not too pleased to be passed from his mummy. I think I was one of the first to cuddle him outside the family," said Dr. Goodall. "I made Archie do the queen's wave, saying, 'I suppose he'll have to learn this.' Harry said, 'No, he's not growing up like that,'" Harper's Bazaar quoted her as saying.

Harry and Meghan have been serious about giving Archie a life free of royal norms that they chose not to give him any titles when he was named. They have also kept him away from media as much as possible to protect him. In fact, they didn't even bring him from Canada to the UK in January, when they visited to announce that they will no longer be part of the royal life as senior members.

During September 2019, Harry had interviewed Goodall for Vogue magazine, which was guest-edited by Markle. He had commented that he wanted "two children maximum" and added that he found what was happening to the environment "terrifying."

Although he is happy to have stepped away to pursue his calling, the prince still feels frustrated that he can't do much for people and his family during the health crisis. A source told US Weekly that since his father was diagnosed with the virus, the prince has been feeling helpless. "Despite their ups and downs, hearing that his dad is sick with a potentially life-threatening illness is a huge wake-up call. And he's overwhelmed with feelings of guilt for not being closer to home while this is all going on," the source claimed.
