Former NFL player Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari announced in April 2019 that they are getting a divorce. Tomi Lahren broke off her engagement the same month.
For many people, finding the right partner is about sharing the same values and background. They might have more similarities as well, like the end of a previous relationship to bond over, and healing together.
Former pro football player Jay Cutler, who was seen on the reality TV show Very Cavallari with his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari, and conservative political pundit Tomi Lahren seem to have found a new friendship with each other, reported E! News. Social media was also aflutter with rumors of the duo dating though they haven't confirmed it yet. A source told the media outlet that they were seen together in Nashville, Tennesee.
The eyewitness revealed that they spent a fun night out with some friends at Winners Bar in Nashville. "The two of them were having a lot of fun together at a table along with two other friends," the source shared. "Tomi and Jay were passing a bottle of tequila back and forth and taking shots together directly from the bottle. The two of them left together."
Another source said that the duo is only friends. One of the things that brings them together is that both of them got out of committed relationships in 2019.
The Chicago Bears player and Cavallari announced the end of their marriage and the reality TV show in April. Cavallari, 33, found fame as a teen as part of MTV's Laguna Beach. Cutler and she met in 2010 and got engaged the next year. They briefly split up in 2011 and reunited weeks later, according to People. They got married in 2013 and have three children, sons Camden, 7, and Jaxon, 5, and daughter Saylor, 4, together. Their reality TV show Very Cavallari used to focus on her running her business, Uncommon James, and on her challenging marriage.
Cutler was caught on camera belittling his then-wife and the trouble was present off-screen too. "Jay would make her cry all the time during production. He talked down to her and belittled her," a Cavallari friend said. "She couldn't take it anymore."
The couple had announced in April that they were going separate ways. "With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family," the statement said, according to TheSpun.
The Fox Nation personality, Lahren, broke off her engagement to Brandon Fricke, who ran for Congress in 2019, in April. In a statement obtained by People, she explained, "It just wasn't in the cards." The 27-year-old added, "We are still best friends." She last posted a photo of Fricke on her social media in January 2019 when they rang in the New Year.
"The California tribe. Happy New Year. Xoxo. #TeamTomi #NYE #2020," Lahren captioned the post. The couple had announced that they were engaged in June 2019. Bricke had proposed in New York and Lahren had happily shared snaps of her ring.
The rumor about Lahren and Cutler also started many jokes about the couple. The Conservative political commentator has been a controversial figure with her complete devotion to the Trump campaign but most of the jokes were about Cutler.
"Jay Cutler and Tomi Lahren are dating. She can rest easily that, if he tries to make a pass at another woman, it won’t get there. Geez, I crack myself up," wrote one Twitter user.
"Tomi Lahren claims she hates do-nothing losers who earn a paycheck for not contributing and also now she's dating Jay Cutler," said another person. "Tomi Lahren claims to be against lazy bums sitting on their asses not contributing to society but I just found out she’s dating Jay Cutler so," wrote another person.
Lahren denied the rumors on September 4 and added a sarcastic comment saying, "I love it when the internet tells me who I’m dating. Good one."
