“We have these markers like, ‘Well, you’re at that stage, so for your age… I don’t even understand what it means,” Jennifer Aniston said.
Jennifer Aniston is feeling better than ever. At 54 years old she said she is doing great and gets quite annoyed when people attach looking great to a number. “It drives me bananas; I can’t stand it,” the Murder Mystery star told Vogue referring to the phrase, 'You look great for your age'. “That’s a habit of society that we have these markers like, ‘Well, you’re at that stage, so for your age… I don’t even understand what it means.” She added, “I’m in better shape than I was in my 20s; I feel better in mind, body, and spirit. It’s all 100 percent better.”
As she gets older she believes longevity is not just important but having a great quality of life is what people should strive for. “My family lives a long time, especially my dad’s side–I want to be thriving; I don’t want to just be alive,” she said.

The Friends star stays active by doing Pilates and hiking and has been a part of fitness brand Pvolve’s exercise programs after suffering from a back injury in 2021. “I like to find something that really works and then share it with my girlfriends,” Aniston told PEOPLE. “If I had known about it 20 years ago when I was when I was breaking my body, to begin with, we would've saved so much pain.”

Her idea of wellness has also changed in recent years where it's all “come down to simplicity.” The Good Girl star shared, “It's just calories in, calories out, nutrition, what are you feeding your body? Don't eat crap. You've got to get the right amount of sleep. You've got to drink tons and tons and tons of water. You also have to give yourself 20 percent of fun and gluttony, and have a good time and indulge. For me, I couldn't do that saintly, never go off the rails or deviate from the plan of perfect wellness because I like to enjoy myself."

The Morning Show actress also admitted that as she grew older, she's grown steadily more sure of the person she is. According to Allure, she also admitted to "hating" social media. “I’m really happy that we got to experience growing up, being a teenager, being in our 20s without this social media aspect. Look, the internet, great intentions, right? Connect people socially, social networking. It goes back to how young girls feel about themselves, compare and despair. I feel the best in who I am today, better than I ever did in my 20s or 30s even, or my mid-40s. We needed to stop saying bad sh*t to ourselves,” said Aniston, scolding her future self, “You’re going to be 65 one day and think, I looked f*cking great at 53.”
