Right from embarrassing her kids to helping them sell cookies, Jennifer Garner may be the perfect representation for all the moms out there.
Jennifer Garner may have made a name for herself in the film industry by displaying her talents in films like Elektra, 13 Going on 30, Catch Me If You Can, Valentine's Day and more. But perhaps what she's gaining recognition for more now is being an extremely witty and relatable mom to her three naughty kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. And though she's a single mom (she had her children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck), she seems to have taken it in her stride. In fact, she's seen the humorous side to many of her situations and wanted to share it with her fans. We're glad she did too! Here are her nine hilarious parenting moments that every mom can probably relate to in some way:
Recently, the mother-of-three received a check from her soon-to-be 8-year-old son, Sam for "being my mama." Taking to Instagram, all she could say to that was, "Apparently, birthing and raising someone is valued at $168.42. I guess I should keep my day job 😂.” Within the hashtags, she also said, "I would be his mama for free," before adding, "oh wait I already am."
In November 2019, she shared a photo of herself wearing her monogrammed robe while standing with wet hair, a mug of coffee in one hand and her phone in the other. Her caption? "She barely made the bus on time, but at least her mother kept it classy," she said of her daughter.
She truly tried her best to "camp" with her kids but where was the coffee when she really needed it? She captioned her sleeping bag shot, “Backyard campout. Kids still sleeping. Sprinklers. 😑 #👵🏼👵🏼👵🏼 #whencanihavecoffee”
No matter how famous you are, when it comes to selling cookies, you have no choice but to stand outside and help your Girl Scouts daughter. And that is what Garner did too. She captioned her contribution, "Why yes, kind sir, we do have Thin Mints. #tistheseason #comeandgetem #whodoesntloveagirlscout."
For Sam's 7th birthday party, she was excited and dressed up thinking she was a cool mom but he was not impressed. She shared the photo with the caption, “Well, guess what. It turns out 7 is the age my kid stops thinking it’s cool when I dress up for the party. #youngestchild #firsteyeroll🙄."
Whatever her kids throw at her, she proved she can handle it all at once. Literally. “Every single time I get out of the car. 💯 . How? Why? 😩🤣 ❤️" she asked her fans on Instagram, adding the hashtags, “#notstaged #notaproblem #ivegotit #iknowyoufeelme.”
Moms are tired. After all, between keeping the kids alive and making sure that you get all your own work done, you need a nap. And the position and the location don't matter at all, especially for the award-winning actress. You just grab what you can.
Just like the time the 47-old mom went kayaking with her daughter, only to get them both lost and in need of a rescue. She captioned her picture, "On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest... Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes. Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so. 😬 Did we have to be rescued? Yup. #thesunsetwasabigupside #shenevercomplained #thankyoumattias #welovedyousweden."
Which mother doesn't like having their kids write them loving notes, even if they are brutally and painfully honest? Sharing a touching photo of a small note her from her now 10-year-old daughter Seraphina, she said, "Is this a nine-year-old burn? Or the ultimate compliment? #funkillingmom 🙋🏻♀️ #illtakealovenotehoweveritcomes."
Well, if you've gone through any of these moments, then you and Golden Globe-winning actress, Jennifer Garner have more in common than you might realize. Here's to all the strong moms out there who've had to multitask, be cool, receive love notes that are sweet and honest, nap whenever and wherever you can and just be amazing.
